ditty
Anyone else trying for the XRT / Jam presale right now??? It still hasn't come up for sale on ticketmaster! this is super strange behavior. I've seen TM onsales be up to 30 seconds late, but 5+ mins? http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/070047308D335760?utm_campaign=1848c29cce-Jam_Mail_9_21_11&camefrom=CFC_JAM_JAMMAIL&utm_source=Chicago+-+Jam+Mail+List&utm_medium=email&brand=jam&tm_link=tm_notix_Change_Search_Request I was in right @ 10 a.m. central and no tix were avail??? JRiordan
Horrible presale. Started 9 mins late, and couldn't pull any pairs at all. Was only able to pull singles in middle to rear balcony.
cubsfan77
That was a bustout. How are these tix selling out so fast?
Degenerex
I got through right at 10 and grabbed a pair from the Jam Productions presale. They are main floor, but in the back left. I wonder how the sound is back there.... The guy next to me at work got in at the same exact time and tried the XRT presale and they were gone. Buying tickets is getting to be a huge pain...but I'm happy I grabbed a pair and I'm hoping at least some of you were able to get some.
bleeinternets
I haven't able to pull up anything, and I've been trying several times a minute since 10:00. Gonna be a clusterfuzzle tomorrow morning for regular on-sale.
CityKeptBlinking
Anytime a presale password goes out on the Jam Mail email list, consider it a scalper's paradise. Just wait until a week before the show and you'll have plenty of choices for below face value (especially since its a Monday night). Also, don't rule out a second show being announced. cubsfan77
I'll be so pissed if I don't get tix. How many people does the lyric hold?
bleeinternets
I'll be so pissed if I don't get tix. How many people does the lyric hold? 3,563, per the Civic Opera House website. Yeesh. Yeah, figure they gotta add a second night, right?
cubsfan77
Gotta be, especially in Chicago. Better not be a bunch of tools talking during the show and checking their phones every 2 seconds.

Unless you are singing along, saying "that was great" or "my water broke", or asking an usher where your seat are, you should be escorted out of the building for talking at a concert. cubsfan77
Agreed. I can remember being in the balcony at the auditorium in 2004 and told these 2 women to shut up.

The Ticketmaster page didn't even let you select tickets until 10:08 or 10:09 Also, there are no will call only restrictions on the public tickets, correct? That means tons will be going on craigslist, etc

Guest Jules
Worked fine for me (on Firefox). Had trouble getting a pair to show up, but did at 10:15 or so. Main floor row AA. Not too bad.
toejam07
Hi, all. Somewhat long time lurker, first time poster. I managed to get through around 10:10 (starting around 10:05, since I was stuck in a meeting, and using Chrome as well) and used the XRT password to nab an upper balcony seat. I figure since the Civic Opera House is, well, an opera house, since we'll all be stuck in seats anyway, and since I'm both cheap and broke, it didn't really matter where I sit. I was right up front at Nels's feet at their show at the Kentish Town Forum in London in 2009, so I can tough this one out in the back.

Via Harvard
Scalpers are just straight up bad people. eBay is LOADED with tickets already. This is why I live in Chicago and have only seen them twice here, UIC both shows.

This is really surprising to hear, because I know a few other people who also couldn't even select tickets until :08 or :09 like myself. I'm using Firefox, not sure about the others. I also tried refreshing in IE. I have Chrome but didn't try it.

The purchase page didn't show up for me either until almost 10 after and I was using Firefox. I've never had that happen before. Ended up in the upper balcony (this was with xrt pre-sale). Just happy to get a seat!
Chris_H_2
I used IE, and got the purchase page right at 10:00, and was able to nab XRT tickets on the floor towards the back. Like someone said, because these aren't all will call, they'll be plenty of tickets available on Craigslist before the show (especially if they add a second show). Autumnteeth
Thank you to whomever wrote they waited until 10:20 and got a pair. I gave up at 10:03 on front gate. On the xrt presale I finally got two tickets at 10:18. They are so far in the back they come with a mop and I think I have to clean up after, but happy I got them. I promised my daughters, 11 and 15, they could go. Want their first concert to be a great show where the artist cares for its fans, and this is the band that delivers. When they get older, and go to shows that end in 45 minutes, or the lead singer walks off in 5 minutes, they will remember what a great show wilco is. Slight logistical problem with one seat 11 rows from the stage and two in the balcony, but will figure this out. We may rotate. The only seat I could get from front gate was a single ticket. Turns out it is row k, and unbelieveable, so they get the front row experience too. Thanks again to the person who sweated out front gate for 20 minutes. Listened, learned, and got. Owe you. If you are at the show find me, row k, seat 103, and I owe you a drink or two.
sonnyfeeling
Woohoo! We got Mezzanine boxes from the General availability presale. Section 12 GA5 and GA6. If I'm reading the seating chart correctly, that's the first row of boxes, pretty much in front of Nels. So it's on to Chicago!
JRiordan
I couldn't pull up any pairs at all, even right at 10:00. Got all kinds of different single tickets, including mezzanine, dress circle (front of balcony from rows A-J), Balc, Upper balc, main floor.
REH
Hey, Amarinthe, it appears there will be at least TWO of us at the Des Moines show -- you, & me. Had the same experience as you, worked my tail off to get Chicago & KC tickets, but Des Moines was a breeze. P.S. I am looking for someone to partner-up with for waiting that Sunday, so let me know if you are interested. It's always nice to have someone to take shifts with in line for food runs, bathroom breaks, etc. I stood for about 3 hours for The Black Keys & was in the 3rd row or so, but I'm not taking that many chances with THIS one!!!!
