PopTodd
A bunch of Chicago high school kids playing jazz-inflected RnB, with a really good, smooth MC rapping. Great vocals, great playing, great flow. EDIT:Didn't know this piece of info, but think that it would be of interest to this board, in particular:http://www.avclub.com/chicago/articles/jeff-tweedy-producing-chicago-band-kids-these-days,65530/

PopTodd
Best Coast - Tour CD-RCollection of home-recorded singles that they sold at shows before they released their debut. A lot fuzzier than the debut and, IMO, it's a little better, too. Better songs. "The Sun Was High (and So Was I)" is something that should have been on the album! Looking forward to the new one, though.
