choo-choo-charlie
Pitchfork reviews the record today and gives it a higher rating than they did in 2003. They also write that Jay Farrar is singing in "That Year." http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/18940-uncle-tupelo-no-depression-legacy-edition/
Oil Can Boyd
Never knew that Farrar used J Mascis's guitar on this ...
choo-choo-charlie
Love the sound of that old SG. Huge guitar sound. Jeff's bass is real chunky too.
Magnetized
I just got my copy from Amazon a couple of days ago. I like all the extras and the booklet. Plus it's interesting to trace the evolution of songs like I Got Drunk and Screen Door from cassette demos to regular demos and then to the version on the album. And the music is just so good, it's nice to have it brought to the fore again.

From what I can tell, the vinyl version doesn't have any extras, just wondering if that's correct.

Magnetized
This was shared on Facebook today. It's from 1991--a Cambridge, MA area radio station with an in-studio set from Uncle Tupelo. It's particularly cool that the DJ has a current interview with Mike Heidorn introducing it. I think you'll enjoy it. http://headphones.mit.edu/archive/Riding_the_Norse_Horse____1_28_14_6:58_PM.mp3
Rodion
Am I the only one who thinks Flatness is the best Tweedy song on this album, not Screen Door?
froggie
Am I the only one who thinks Flatness is the best Tweedy song on this album, not Screen Door? from that album?.. NO!.... its the best of his songs on that album, and Train and That Year come a close second. Screen door is just fun
