roadhse ma
Of course this is a serious matter w/ respect to being safe and warm. But to hype it as a " Historic Storm" well that's the media. The range is currently 18 to 24 inches of snow in Boston Proper.https://www.yahoo.com/news/winter-storm-spreads-snow-traffic-woes-u-northeast-033350060.htmlStay safe and warm fellow east coasters. smells like flowers
Was watching HISTORIC SNOWFALL coverage on CNN with my dad. His comment was, "it would be historic if it didn't snow."

ih8music
Last time they were overhyping a storm (or so I thought) it turned into superstorm sandy. Hopefully this one won't cause as much damage -- at least it sounds like it's just going to be a shit ton of the white stuff.
kidsmoke
Stay safe and warm all of you who're affected. Try not to go stir crazy being stuck indoors.
RaspberryJam
Still snowing at 7:30 AM near Hartford, CT. We seem to be spared the worst. Maybe 8", very windy. It's still coming down, but is supposed to wind down around noon. Clean up should not be too hard because the snow is so light. No school or work today but no worries about cabin fever; I have plenty to keep me busy.

We're in the New London area (Ledyard) and there's probably 18" already - and it's still coming down at about 2-3" per hour. Huge drifts.

tinnitus photography
the snow is too light and the wind not strong enough to worry about trees taking down power lines, imo.
Hixter
Not to rub it in, but it's 84 here in Texas. I just finished brewing 11 gallons of beer and did a bit of sweating. Glad I'm not sweating with a snow shovel in hand.

The Inside of Outside
I was just looking at our back deck with one of my daughters, and it looks a lot like twoshedsjackson's. We are up around 2 feet. Felt like 3 feet shoveling it, though.
remphish1
My back deck.Yikes! Hopefully the kids like the snow ? Here in NJ we got 4 inches instead of 36 and I am very grateful!
