jff
Keith Emerson, keyboardist for Emerson Lake and Palmer and The Nice, passed away last night. I've gotten a lot of enjoyment from both of those bands over the years (and also from punk, which was, in large part, a reaction against the prog rock Emerson and his peers were making.) It could be argued that Emerson and his peers were responsible for taking music away from and back to its basics. That's no mean feat. RIP Mr. Emerson. Sorry no link. This forum won't let me post links anymore.
John Smith
ELP was right in my prog rock wheelhouse for a few years there. Then... Sorry to see him go though.
Vacant Horizon
WTF! It's like that show the Leftovers, but it's rock stars who are disappearing. Never a huge fan of ELP, but that synth solo at the end of Lucky Man was great. RIP
Mr. Heartbreak
Single gunshot wound to the head, likely a suicide from reports. Very sad.
mountain bed
In my opinion the greatest Rock keyboardist to ever walk the earth.
Moss
Was never much of an ELP fan. Our band does From the beginning. This is the first I heard that it was suicide. That's always sad to me
