tinnitus photography
Don’t know a bunch of these.. are these mostly metal? If they are that’s what a enjoy about this board we have tons of people with very diverse musical taste all merging at Wilco actually most of them aren't really metal, though a few would land in that patch... Meg Baird is pretty folky, Umberto and Emeralds are electronic, Dungen is psych/folk, Blackshaw is acoustic (not really folk though), Barn Owl is kinda droney, Graveyard is hard rock, and Erki Parnoja is kinda like an Estonian Tortoise. I'll whip together a playlist of songs (assuming spotify has them) I like the best from those records and post it in this thread.

Mr. Heartbreak
Thanks to everyone who has made a contribution to this thread. I'm mainly a classic rock/jazz/blues/folk guy, although the 1500 or so artists in my collection do include quite a few indie bands, electronic music, and so on. I've spent much of my "new" listening over the past decade on stuff that's "new to me," that is, not actually new. And I tend to find very little modern music that floats my boat. The fact that some of you have listed artists as diverse as DBT, Mazzy Star, Augie March and Bowie (all of whom I like), along with Wilco, gives me hope that I might discover some relatively new music among those on this list.
