Right on. I'd LOVE for EVERYONE to vote. I'd love it even more if everyone could name 2 things either candidate is in support of before voting. I gurantee thousands are voting for Obama solely because he's black. And probably thousands more are voting for McCain solely becuase of his sacrifices in Vietnam.

If it makes someone feel special and tingly by simply telling people to vote, I have no problem with that. But voting and having a reason and/or opinion to vote are different things. Many people (myself included), don't really give a rat's ass about politics 99 percent of their lives. For me, the election season stirs me up a bit and makes me read and listen and make judgements and form opinions. I agree 100 percent. And the unborn are at the head of that list. Many, many, many people believe stongly in the sanctity of life. And it scares many people that someone like Obama (with the help of a Democratic congress) can pass bills that will basically allow abortions to be anywhere, at anytime for anyone without any questions asked. Yeah, many other issues are important. But ask the Catholic church what IT'S number one crisis is. The answer will be a moral crisis....namely the rights of the unborn. The QVC bit was very clever. Olberman's impersonation wasn't super, but it was a pretty good skit. I can't stand Olberman, so it was fun to see him get poked fun of. My favorite was Kristin Wiig's Target cashier. To me, she's the funniest and most talented cast member. Her aunt character during the News was funny as well.
