Beats hell out of me. They're located here in Ann Arbor, but aside from Erlewine, I'm not sure if any of the reviewers ever sets foot inside their office.

Damn that looks good. Never been to that place. Ethiopian, I assume?

I think I'm going to drop that class.

Yeah, I don't think I'll be reading any of those reviews.

Last.fm tool: How eclectic is your musical style?
cryptique replied to rghammo's topic in Someone Else's Song
It uses a rather arbitrary methodology, so I'm not real bothered by my not-so-eclectic result. -
Gary Graff is an interesting guy ... I hear him on the radio pretty often. He's exactly the kind of guy I'd expect to be able to write a Wilco article without mentioning addiction or Krautrock.

From Salon.com's "War Room" blog, 5/11/07 Benchmarks and consequences Sometimes, it's hard to keep up: George W. Bush, Jan. 10, 2007: In a speech to the nation, the president declares: "A successful strategy for Iraq goes beyond military operations. Didn't he acknowledge that he'd probably taken steroids, but claim that he was unaware what the substances were? I don't believe for a second that he was unaware. True, nothing's been definitively proven yet, but the physical evidence alone is pretty damning. Honestly, I keep hoping for an indictment and suspension to come down before he catches Aaron. I won't mind when someone breaks that record -- I just don't want it to be Bonds.

Melissa and I like to shout out our own secret ingredients just before the "chairman" reveals it. Ours tend to be things like "spite!" or "despair!" ...or sometimes more along the lines of "nougat!"

Paging Dr Wilco: Get the defibrillators and save this album
cryptique replied to owl's topic in Just A Fan
No, she's annoying because of the way she writes. Because she's annoying. -
Yup, I'll have to give this a listen when I get a chance. I too lost interest after Life is Sweet, though apparently she's put out some pretty decent stuff since then. That first Lone Justice album is one that I still break out every couple of months.
