Does Wal-Mart sell Sky Blue Sky? Because they're way more evil than Starbucks. I mean, come on. Wilco put out an album, and now it's being sold by various retailers. One of those retailers happens to do most of its business in overpriced coffee drinks. Who cares?

Then there's the Led Zeppelin "bleed-through" tape storage fuckup with "Whole Lotta Love," which turned out to sound really cool. -

But you hinted at the key yourself: if the band likes the take, it stands ... even if there are a few "mistakes" scattered about. Live music is like that, and it's one of the reasons it's great. -
I haven't bragged about my boys much since the unfortunate kicking incident.

Doesn't make it right. So a player can just shove another player out of the way to get an open shot, and it's OK because it's the playoffs? That's a load of shit. I'm not disputing that that's the way it happens ... I'm just saying that the league needs to put a stop to that.

If I recall correctly, most of the songs on SBS were recorded "live" at the Loft, with very few overdubs added. In circumstances like that, a few less-than-perfect notes will invariably slip through. There's really not much point in overanalyzing it. Look at it this way: it's proof that Wilco won't use Auto-Tune. -
That's a stretch.

Calm down. -
This is something that happens.

I'm not talking about that stuff. I'm talking about Sheed's blatant pushoff on Varejao before he sank that last shot. Whatever else happened earlier in the game, that shit has to be called.

I can picture the testimony in the suit against the tow truck driver... JUDGE: So, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, over the last two days you have heard the plaintiff's case laid out in excruciating detail. Now it's the defendant's turn. The defendant is representing himself in this case. Sir? DEFENDANT: The plaintiff is a total assface, your honor. The defense rests.

How's that?

I think the issue here is not that Christian themes are unwelcome in "alternative" music, but that the bulk of modern "Christian music" sucks ass (imo, naturally), and lots of people shy away from listening to anything that might edge into that genre. I'm not saying it makes sense.

Pardon me, but

Committing a hard foul to free yourself for the game-winning shot -- and not getting called for it -- will do that, I guess. That was some serious bullshit right there.

If there's truly a blizzard of oatmeal involved, you'd think he'd be more regular.

It's worth owning, but work on that price a little.

Don't get excited, it's not Neko herself, just some lingerie she once-- Oh. Wait.

There was a kind of Barefoot Contessa "Behind the Music" show a while back (I forget exactly what it was, but that's how I prefer to think of it) in which her husband was interviewed. They showed pictures of them when they were young, etc. Of course, the question is, why the hell was I watching that?

Me neither, but don't let that stop you from seeing Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
