Then they're taking jobs away from American parasites.

I believe the politically correct term is "parasitic Americans."

So, I don't have the patience to do a fantasy team, but I usually do a pick 'em league each year. Anyone interested? It'd be a Yahoo league using confidence points but a minimum of additional bullshit -- probably just a tiebreaker. If there's some interest, I'll set up a league.

We got to pray, just to make it today. (But I don't, personally.)

Well? -
If I hadn't just seen a production of "Playboy of the Western World" a couple of weeks ago, I'd have no idea what the hell "peelers" means.

Any relation to this guy? -
Gee, what a surprise. Can the country please talk about something else now? Raving lunatics who want to associate themselves with horrible crimes that they weren't anywhere near should never get this much press.

I misread this, and thought you were talking about the Replacements song "The Ledge." ...which might make a really cool ringtone, actually. -

So, did you put ketchup on that, or what? -
Back in school my roommate and I talked about starting a band called The Beat Potatoes. We never did.

...except that occasionally there can be some unpleasant aftereffects, bathroom-wise. Nothing too bad, though. Wait. What harshness? Never happened to me... We used to put 'em on our salads at lunch. One day, after we'd doctored our salads, the college president sat down at our table to talk to us while we were eating. He never noticed the non-standard-issue salad ingredients that we all were munching on. We resisted the urge to slip him some. -
Now that the question has been answered, can someone explain it to me?

Depends on the dosage. And how well you can suppress your giggles. -

If you drop the 'shrooms around 10:30, you might come back down in time for your 3:30 ... though I wouldn't count on it. -
Tyranny, definitely... ...or was Lou asking about Chisel? In that case, I'd say Set You Free, though it's hard to pick.

From the "couldn't have said it better myself" department ... King Kaufman of Salon.com, referring to Bill Laimbeer: "If you watched the NBA in the '80s and weren't a Pistons fan -- or even if you were -- I probably don't have to explain why I hated him. If ever a player combined dirtier play with more outrageously unjustified whining to the referees than Bill Laimbeer, he's gone undetected by this observer." -

So, I may not have metioned it, but I was off work last week. Now I am not.
