Finally got a chance to see this. Nicely done. I'm glad they've moved on to "One Wing" from "You Never Know" or anything else they might have been playing on the late-night talk shows.

A Series Of Sneaks is their masterpiece, in my opinion. I love every song on it. I can see how their other albums might not hold someone's attention, but that one ... wow.

I agree with both of the posts above. While this definitely "sounds like Spoon," it's an empty kind of Spoon. All style, no substance. Which is sad, because I really wanted to like this record, but I basically have to force myself to listen to it. Nearly every time I put it on, my attention drifts and I end up switching to something else.

Absolutely ... it was still a very listenable record. But I think Auer and Stringfellow have both put out better solo records (Songs From The Year Of Our Demise and Touched, respectively). I would love to see a Frosting show ... but I'd want Mike Musburger on drums.

I think they're new as of about two years ago? Three maximum? My optometrist participated (as a prescriber) in an initial trial of those lenses that occurred before the manufacturer figured out how to mass-produce them. I had them before they went on the market, and then it was another several months before they were widely available, because there were issues with getting production up and running. I don't believe they were widely available before 2008, but I might be off by a year.

Your entire post is based on your own assumptions about what my post meant. Those assumptions were incorrect. As for the ratings argument, Conan's ratings were shitty largely because Leno's 10 PM ratings were shitty. His ratings prior to the beginning of Leno's 10 PM show were better.

This is true, FWIW. Due to extremely dry eyes (probably stemming from an Accutane prescription when I was a teenager), I couldn't wear contacts on an everyday basis for about twenty years, until the technology evolved sufficiently.
