  1. The Fool On The Hill because "They don't like him" is the most awkward filler lyric in the history of pop music.
  2. i feel like there are two eras, PPM-Rubber Soul and Revolver-Abbey Road. Though my favorite albums are Sgt. Pepper and The White Album, I voted PPM-Help! because I feel there's an energy derived from playing as a band that they didn't quite recapture when they started playing the studio.
  3. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigel_Godrich#Discography of the records that he produced that i've listened to, i'd say they're very cold and clean sounding. Beck's a good example since he's worked with different producers, Sea Change might be my favorite album of his for the songs and the orchestration, but i felt the sound was cold before i knew Godrich was behind the controls. Say what you will about the Beck's output on Guero and The Information, but I'd say there's a recognizable difference in the sound. Guero sounds much warmer and more organic to my ears. Godrich's discog says he mixed
  4. Not saying Radiohead is incapable of rocking (though they seem to prefer being gloomy), but 'Bodysnatchers' seems to be the only consistently rocking track on this album. I think I'd like Radiohead a lot more if it weren't for Nigel Godrich, that guy ruins records.
  5. Darjeeling better be a good movie because 'Strangers' is my favorite song and if it is not put to good use, well i'll, i'll write Wes Anderson an angry letter.
  6. as a not very enthusiastic kindof fan of radiohead, HTTT is probably my favorite album of theirs. I've listened to In Rainbows only once, and it seems ok, but what hit me as the best songs of this album didn't impress me as much as "There There" or "Knives Out" did on first listen.
  7. decided to revisit this today and i have to say i'm hearing the barrage of sounds differently this time, i'm starting to get their appeal.
  8. any word on if/when there'll be a wide release? i will drive to boston if necessary.
  9. to me this was the strangest straightforward movie i've seen.
  10. is there a wrong answer? i thought this was an opinion poll.

  17. first Wilco needs to have the guitar freakout record they promised (or implied) by having Nels join the group. something fast and loud to balance out SBS. then Tweedy can go as whimsical or slow strumming as he likes.
