No, Wilco's a man up on Radiohead. Size doesn't matter here when considering the novelty of the idea. I'm not saying this isn't something to get excited about, bands should be encouraged to have the integrity and respect for their fans that Radiohead has, and if the music is half good, i'll be seeking a physical copy of the new album by the biggest and indiest independent band ever. I don't think they cracked the human genome here, s'all.

Sounds like a summary of "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart". It's a pretty cool thing for them to have done, and it will succeed in getting a fence-sitter like me listening. For a fan, i'm sure it's "unfuckinbelievably awesome!"...it's just not unprecedented. Much more notable that platinum sellers Radiohead did it, but i suspect it'll change the face of the earth about as much as Wilco did.

I figured it was for people like me, I'll be getting a call from an angry Thom asking me to explain why I think their new album is worth nothing.
-
I'll be getting the digital album for 0 dollars.
-
i think it's very good.

by the way, i have both Loose Fur records on vinyl and they sound great.

bologna! have you read mikael's notes? "AGIB-contender" comes up a lot. they didn't pay for studio time to record songs they planned to bin. they planned a whole record in this fashion. that changed into AGIB, but from the disc in my Wilco Book, they found the earlier stuff interesting enough to share.

it doesn't matter to me what you call it, but they did officially release this music with the intention for people to hear it.
-
fans are allowed to have preference. it seems less fan-like to call a release a POS.
-
SNL, they should really hire some writers who can write jokes.
-
i would buy the Wilco Book LP, especially if it came in a jumbo size Wilco Book.

I got an original Abbey Road for free from a relative of a friend who happened to have two copies. i felt a little guilty though since it might be my least favorite Beatles album.

you're a monster. i actually had a very similar thing happen to me in high school, my friends kept abusing my appearance so i would join the track team. but then they kept it going. it sucks because even though you know its a joke, you can't shake it out of your head and become super self concious. i also got into shape, good trade off for the psychological scarring.

You got to give John credit for the bass on "Helter Skelter", a lot of the same note, but it's effective.

Wes Anderson short - free on iTunes

I actually found the nude stuff less surprising than that there was an iPod rather than some old fashioned record player or gramaphone. Real modern day technology there. -
Most interesting places you've traveled to!

Portman, nude and in slow motion. Also, Meg White is there.
