That's lucky! I didn't get to hear "Hell Is Chrome" until my third Wilco show and I've never heard "Wishful Thinking" live. Though the shows I've seen have been fairly unique. My first Wilco show was at the Newport Folk Festival 8/8/04. They brought out some lesser played tunes for that one, and Garth Hudson.

You recreate the cake by your own means too. We can scrap the analogy, though. I think the only thing I can prove is that downloading is literally not the same action as shoplifting. I believe 'copying', or if you need a judgement 'wrongful copying', is a better description of the offense.

It's also unfair to only care about the artist, a lot of people work in the making of a record, it's their livlihood and they don't benefit from more people going to shows.
