I'm like the Sean Penn of Wilco audience members. Except I shriek like a little girl and run away instead of punching the person with the camera.
-
There was some comedy gold on that tour, for sure. I hope not!
-
One night, Jeff made a reference to Don't Look Back and then he said that this tour DVD should be called, "Don't Look."
-
Eric, you crack me up.

You're in for a treat! Patrick's Point State Park (north of Eureka, CA) is definitely worth a visit, and the beaches along the OR coast are spectacular. The Oregon Dunes are pretty cool too. If you're passing through Portland, be sure to visit Powell's Books. In Seattle, the area in and around the Pike Place Market is always fun to explore. There's also a nice guitar shop not far away (near Pioneer Square?). I had fun at the EMP as well (mostly because of the Dylan exhibit, which I think may now be over ). Victoria is beautiful! Jealous! That's one of my favourite songs. (Probably for the same reason that guy hates it.)

That sounds very cool, Brianne. I'll check it out. Maybe the common thread is that people living on the margins of society have something valuable to offer. God bless the so-called freaks and weirdos, we could use a few more of them.

AC Newman interview I wish that all of my tax dollars were spent on indie rock and universal health care, etc.

That was great! (I missed the first couple of minutes when I watched it last night.) I also thought it was funny to see Neil reading Stephen's cards before the interview.

Thax has a job - he's a poet. Just because it doesn't pay the bills (or you don't like his poetry), doesn't mean that his work is without meaning. He's obviously willing to take risks that most of us wouldn't even dare to contemplate. "He was free, free in every way, free to behave like a fool or a machine, free to accept, free to refuse, free to equivocate; to marry, to give up the game, to drag this death weight about with him for years to come. He could do what he liked, no one had the right to advise him, there would be for him no Good or Evil unless he thought them into being." - Jean

I discovered it totally by accident. Thank god for insomnia! I'm sure someone will post it on YouTube soon.

I like the cool way you look at me, Everything about you is bringing me misery.

"Are you the one who gave Melissa Etheridge the baby?" Did anyone else see this?
-
I agree, Flick. His behaviour seems inconsistent with the psych. profile of a child killer. Super creepy guy though.
-
Charles, that's beautiful!

Thanks to Savage Love, that bumper sticker suggests another meaning entirely. Bless you Dan Savage! Google

I saw Little Miss Sunshine tonight. Very funny stuff. (We used to have an orange VW van that we started by pushing and/or rolling downhill. Ah, memories!)
