I don't know if this is circulating, but I'd love to get my hands on it. Bob, do you know anything about this? -

It's pretty rare, but this kind of stuff has been going on for long time. There was a similar incident in Vancouver at the first Wilco show I saw in July 2000, but VC didn't exist so there were no journalists trolling msg board gossip for a story back then. Some idiot tried to grab Jeff from the edge of the stage during "Misunderstood" (so much for the myth of Canadian politeness) so he had to kick the guy to get free. After that, the band just laughed it off and kept rolling. It was certainly one of the most memorable shows I've ever seen - both for the music and the freakshow. Unfortuna

Metal Health Must purge brain of scary 80s pop culture references... I blame my high school b.f. (I think his favourite band was Ratt, or something.) hsbf: What are you listening to? me: The Beatles hsbf: Judy, only you would like that crap. me: Um...

I'm pleasantly surprised. Jay and Murph's contributions are the highlights, but Patrick's "I Understand" is pretty good too.

I'm so very sorry, Jeff. Nothing can ever prepare you to lose your mom, but her love will always be with you (and with all of us, through your music). I hope that you will feel it reflected back every time you connect with an audience and bring you some comfort. We're all doing very well... so well, in fact, that we were able to come home yesterday. (I could have opted to stay in the hospital a little longer, but I wanted to free up the private room for another new family to enjoy.) I went into labour shortly before 1:00 on Monday morning and left for the hospital around 8:30 am. Fortunately, I was able to have a natural birth, as I'd hoped (with a little "laughing gas" to take the edge off the contractions during transition - hey, I'm no martyr!). Hannah was born at 1:36 that afternoon. Hiring a doula was definitely a smart move and Doug was al
