I was able to pre-order these from musicdirect.com - you have to call them though 800-449-8333. The email I received: "Thank you for your email. We were asked to take the titles off of the website but you can call to place a pre-order for the releases." Not sure if they will actually materialize, but they won't charge me until they ship, so no harm done! Guy on the phone said - "What's the lead singer's name from Wilco?" I said, "Jeff Tweedy." He says, "He comes in here. Seems like a nice, quiet guy." Good luck!

As much as I hate to admit it, I did have one bitch of a time with the "perforated" edge But I do not renounce Wilco I DO NOT! Instead DEATH TO PLASTIC!! I will remove every ounce of this Dustin Hoffman endorsed vile and false substance of Satan from my life!! Plastics do not make it possible, they make it SUCK!! From the last Wilco HQ email - "If you live west of the MIssissippi, fear not... the band head that way later in the summer. So be patient, okay?" I assume this refers in part to Colorady... A late summer Red Rocks Date would be hard to beat! Though hopefully they don't have the same sound issues as lat time!

Wilco - please stop using MusicToday!!! My vinyl arrived improperly packaged and (no surprise when I saw the huge box it came in) with the outer sleeve all damaged (split on the top spine, dinged and damaged on the corners). I called these bums and they informed me I could mail it back but they were all out of copies so it would be an indefinite wait. I have decided to keep this copy to listen to (sounds GREAT btw) and order another from somewhere else. If I had a good local shop I would go there, but seeing as I'm 1.5 hrs from a good grocery store, vinyl shops are harder to come by.

Agreed - the mix seems a bit odd to me. Though I am unabashedly bathing in the glow of SBS (which I liked at first listen - just for the songs though, the sound leaves MUCH to be desired...) I think for sure that all it gives me really is greater motivation to buy it when it really comes out. For now I like it...but I am not ready to say my full opinions yet.

Yes - and make me just that little bit more glad I haven't ponied up the $200-$300 to get it!! It has been hard to resist, but I fight on... My buddy who bought it for $25 or something right after it was released is now too scared to play his copy. I wouldn't feel the same if I had one!

So I have now heard SBS a few times and am even MORE excited to get the vinyl disc (a blessing and a curse this "leaked" copy) Plus I am learning again, as usually happens - new music from a band I love not only makes me excited for that band and that album, but it seems to shed new light on the band's whole catalog, not to mention some of their key influences. This makes me EVEN MORE excited/curious about this ST/AM rumor....oh please please please please please!! Anyone else?

Not to mention concert tickets...

I heard a rumor from a VERY unreliable source that new re-mastered vinyl pressing of ST and AM (similar to the Being there re-release - which is AWESOME!) were planned to be released alongside the vinyl for SBS. Has anyone else heard of this, and where did you hear about it? Just wondering. I myself don't believe it until a much more reliable source comes a long.... Thanks!
