  1. Caught Kraftwerk in 2005. They were pretty good although it is like watching a piece of theatre, whether that lights your candle or not I don't know. I even reviewed the show - rather badly too.
  2. The kind soul that is Beadsman has sent me a link. But thanks for the directions.
  3. Sorry to sound like one of the rest but could anyway PM me a link to this. Being a poor unfortunate Brit I slept through the entire event. And now the stream has vanished for us late Sunday risers. I will do anything in return. Yes, even that.
  4. It's only 30p* to get from Ireland to the UK courtesy of Ryanair. * - Price also includes
  5. You might be in luck this time around. There's, I think, 3 days between Shepherds Bush and the next date in Cologne (?). They could fill the interim with more dates. Or sightseeing. "Whadda ya mean there's no Berlin Wall??!"
  6. Not yet, Wilcoworld states 'Info' only with no option to buy, and the Shepherds Bush website (http://www.shepherds-bush-empire.co.uk/listings.php) doesn't even have them listed yet. They're due the day after Klaxons - interesting contrast there.
  7. Shepherds Bush Empire - the best venue in the capital. Champion!!
  8. Correct spelling. Change the thread title Welsh Rich or I will be forced to By 'Eck you. I'm a black belt in ferret wrestling y'know. Unsurprising that a new White Stripes album was imminent. They recently signed a one-album deal, which kinda suggested that the one-album would arrive soon.
  9. Primavera has an amzaingly good line-up. I'm tempted to grab some cheap tickets and head out there..... but then I think 'Wilco in Spain???...... they're bound to step over to the rest over Europe around that time'. Basically I'm hoping for some UK dates. I'm sensing it will happen. New album to promote, a single Euro date.... doesn't stack up to me. Breath officially being held.
  10. Heard On Call on their MySpace site last week, and wasn't very impressed. I've always quite liked KoL but this song was a bit tame and I couldn't get over the fact at how polished and bright it all sounded. It even had synths on it (or what sounded like them in the intro). cough cough The Killers cough.
  11. Is that a new album? I've got 'The Tired Sounds Of....." and I really like that (although it's a bit quiet).
  12. Best and most inventive piece of music I've heard this year.
  13. NP: Panda Bear in session This is wonderful stuff, and includes quite few tracks not included on Person Pitch. A very good interview too after the session, he's quite articulate and answers the questions in great depth which kind of knocks the mysterious persona, that he and the rest of Animal Collective give off, on the head.
  14. Great voice. Like a masculine Nina Simone, if that makes any sense. Probably not.
  15. It's quirky, it's beaty, occasionally grimy and I like it.
  16. That is a good album. The production could be a bit better, it's far too bright for my liking, and also the drums may be programmed which doesn't really suit their sound - they sound far too processed and clipped. But the songs are really imaginative and it has more of a spirit of adventure that was only hinted at on their first album.
  17. This is a spectacular album, and an amazing voice - deep and earthy to the point were it needs radio carbon dating.
  18. Oh and it's 'nu skool' not 'new skool'. Have you never heard of 'Lil Chris? Kids today, eh? Tuh!
  19. With reference to the above Chris Morris talk, I'd never seen this before:
  20. I have both, thanks to Oink's end of year giveaway, but not had chance to listen to them yet. I felt it more courteous to listen to the albums people bought me for Christmas. I've only got round to Gypsum Strings now, and I still have Vetiver and Micah P. Hinson to go before I delve into the Oink booty. I thought you were more of a Shatner's Bassoon man myself. And I refuse to comment on your signature picture ....
