Other than a few songs (July July and The Legionaire's Lament) I don't really like Castaway's and Cutouts. I personally think it's their worst album, and that's including the new one that I've heard but briefly.

I voted for John cuz he's the only other original member still in the band. There's something to be said for consistency.

Yeah, I love Picaresque. I like it better than everything but Her Majesty. On the first listen of the Crane Wife I'm digging it.

One of the radio stations I work for is a hip-hop station so I hear it all the time. I still don't like it. The hip-hop style just doesn't appeal to me.

I'm coming to Chicago! Only for a few days, and unfortunately no Wilco dates scheduled in those days, but I'm coming anyway. I'll be there from September 24th though the 27th. Anyone want to meet or maybe catch a show? I'm thinking of going to the Glenn/Nels show on the 24th. Hopefully my flight won't be delayed if I do go. Hope to see/meet some of you!

Anyone heard of Corrine Bailey Rae? She's coming to the HOB in Hollywood in about two weeks and I'm thinking of going. Saw Soul Asylum last night at the Troubadour in Hollywood. I really enjoyed the show. They played quite a lot of songs from the new album which was released that day. I was also very excited to see them again. The only other time I had seen the band before was on the last night of their tour with Matchbox 20 in 1999 and they played all cover songs. While cool to hear the covers I was very upset that I didn't hear any SA songs. Last night made up for that, as the only cover they played was "Summer of Drugs".
