  1. Great show haven't been on here in years. Song selections were great as was Jeff's playing considering many of the songs he played, are rarely played. Saw lots of people video taping but kind of felt bad for whomever Jeff called out after Ripple- ouch. Since when has this been the protocol? I've seen tapers, cell phone tapers at every show but I've never seen Jeff call one person out like that...
  2. I have a feeling my appreciation will grow after seeing these songs played live. As it is- I like it more now( after listen 20 or so) then on day one. As others have said Country Disappeared is as good as anything they've ever done which is pretty pretty pretty good.
  3. when the hell did Jeff move to the burbs?
  4. what a great great show. A couple of thoughts. - The Pabst is my new favorite venue. - Are the boys keeping the new songs off their setlists to generate a little buzz? Keep them off of youtube ect ect... cheers
  5. Looking for two to either show. thanks. shanelclayton@hotmail.com
  6. Thanks for that. The Aud. theatre holds about 4,000 people. If you're on the floor or first balcony its perfect otherwise don't bother. Besides that it's about one hundred years old and a Adler/Sullivan gem. Buildings like this have a soul that should be respected IMO.
  7. "Well where I sat - floor row EE - I was surrounded by people who were having conversations through many of his songs and did very little - if any - clapping. A couple next to me were constantly checking their watches through the encores. It was, from my experience, the worst crowd I've seen at a concert (with the exception of the annoying insanity of some punk bands I saw in my younger years). sorry to hear that. Having read and experienced to the contrary I would have to say that you had some really bad luck... The Auditorium hold close to 4k and it sold out in about 5 minutes. I
  8. interesting me thinks the Chicago crowd was really really great. But I'll take your word for it. Cutting off beer sales at 8-830 may have mellowed some of us older folks a bit but other than that the crowd was near perfect.
  9. That drive back to Madison last night was brutal. Gotta love the IL "open toll road". It took me 2.5 hours to get from downtown through the first O'Hare toll.....Didn't get home until almost 4am and we were on the road at 10:55pm??? Great city planning! [/quote 90 seeeuuucksss. that is crazy long though. Rockford really dropped the ball on that one.
  10. Great show didn't get the set list. One of the better shows I've seen in many a moon.
  11. will be there soaking it all in heat included. Bring lots of cold water, ice, mini cooler ect... oh boy this is going to be great!!
  12. Go to Google.com/trends type in a word and see which city in the world has " googled" it the most. Who would have thought " Wilco" and " Murder" would be number one in our fair city....
  13. I got this on Tenderloin's suggestion and enjoyed it. The interesting bits invloved the tension between Jeff and BB and how each chose to interpret Woody's songs( which of course I love). There seemed to be a more than subtle bias towards BB in how the film was edited. I wish they would have exposed the tension between BB and JT more - I got the feeling they left out some juicy scenes of BB freaking out over the songs Wilco chose for the album.Bottom line= I give the movie three stars the album four.five stars. This made me appreciate Wilco's songs and their process and individuality even
  14. Holy Hell- The Tan Man. that gots to be the best Larry reference of all time!! that would be a XL coming your way.
