  1. I think this stems from the people you're speaking of not agreeing with the choices that the matured fetuses have made for themselves. woah, woah, woah, woah. hold on a minute. who are you and what have you done with good old neon?
  2. because I am cool, if I did the math right, everything I listen to is cool as well. and there is nothing wrong with a little gay Abba rocking from time to time.
  3. he probably would have been criticized for being too black or not black enough in his method of doing so, depending on one's brand of bigotry.
  4. I think genuine differing opinions on how to spend tax dollars, what level of healthcare entitlement is appropriate and who should manage healthcare are probably bigger roadblocks, but I will agree with you that the sandbox antics are tiresome.
  5. thanks for posting that, but (a) it is impossible to determine the true effect of proposed changes without reading the original and (b.) this is an example of YOU offering actual excerpts, not andrew sullivan or the post.
  6. does Andrew and/or the Post think that we're too dense to read the language in these suggestive documents? it would be nice for a change to read actual excerpts instead of a supposed account of what the documents "suggest"
  7. I identify with what you're saying.
  8. wait, I get them confused. which one is the assholish douche and which one is the douchy asshole?
  9. I listed to (the album) from start to finish on a road trip in the country yesterday morning and was blown away by it. it's starting to grow on me big-time. happens every damn time.
  10. I can take "you and I" much more than "you never know." I've decided that it would be douchey of me to get on a wilco board and trash one of their tunes, so I won't talk about how much I can't believe that they actually created and released "you never know." because that would be douchey.
  11. to tell you the truth, I prefer Cetera's solo work with Amy Grant to be frankly honest
  12. I was in my freshman year of college when I got this news. Live at the El Mocambo is still among the greatest recorded performances ever. He was no John Mayer, to be sure, but he had the touch.
  13. habit. we tend to have herd mentality about lots of things (see popular music). we grew up watching people squish bugs, so we squish bugs. I doubt much reflection goes into it. that being said, one of you fuckers tries to mess with these guys and we've got a problem:
  14. I know Sullivan's heart is usually in the right place, but he gets downright absurd with some of his statistical algebra at times. my choosing not to put my hand on a hot stove-top does not equate to "Scottish/Germans hate fire"
