it's difficult to find useful data rising out of the ashes

what's your favorite fruit? there is a limited number of options, so I did some internet research on which options would best serve a message board for predominately white middle class liberal fans of a dad rock band.

The answer is Shake It Off and Rising Red Lung.

I heard they smell like lemons

Spot on. A hollow body bass through a combo bass or guitar amp could really get that thumping tone. The bass work on that album, like all the instrumentation, is perfect.

So true. Imagine how they would feel if, hypothetically, there were a Wilco fan site that constitutionally prohibited any discussion or criticism about how it's moderated, that repeatedly censored or even banned devoted fans because of their disagreements with a small handful of staff and that refused to have an open, transparent and democratic process by which site moderators and forum policies were chosen? I love and adore the band and while certainly frustrated and slightly crushed I would understand it if they chose not to play in the socially and politically retarded state in which I

I see your point, but I have to say that as to the issue of rights for homosexuals, transgenders (insert any other sex- or gender-based status) in this country, there is a contingent of us who just can't believe we're actually still having a fucking "debate" on these issues. It's one thing to tackle nuanced issues like abortion and doctor-assisted suicide, but having our governments in 2015 denying rights to people because of whose genitals they like to fondle becomes harder and harder for me to endure with any sense of civility. I wish I could be more mature about it. Honestly. But I'm pi

Texas sure is giving Indiana a run for its money in consistent dipshittedness
-
because of this, however, as 4,376,217 internet posts have clarified, the Indiana law is not identical to the federal law.

You shouldn't beat your wife. I think everyone but some old school evangelical Christians agrees with that.

The First Great Song You Heard in Concert

I would have gone with "Play for Today" -
If Ted Cruz survives the primary I may have to quit my job to campaign full time for his opponent. Surely there is something in Revelations about that guy. I'll dust off that book later and check.

You are bitterly whining on the internet because wilco didn't do something the way you wanted, when you wanted (and the fact that their management doesn't want to engage with you on that subject). If you can't handle critical feedback for that, you probably shouldn't start threads on message boards. People did read your link (I did, at least). You seem to be upset that posters didn't agree with your perspective despite having done so. You also stated that you weren't re-hashing your red rocks angst in this thread, which you apparently are. And you clearly were complaining about ti

It costs $50 for my wife and I to go see a movie and buy some popcorn and soft drinks. I've read on the internet that people used to be able to buy a decent amount of cocaine for that kinda money. I just don't think $85 for a ticket to an amazing performance at a venue that has some very real overhead costs is unreasonable. The fact that I'm only paying $26 to see Drive-By Truckers tonight seems insane to me. I will probably leave the band a tip on stage.

I would imagine Tony did write you back, several times perhaps, before hitting the "delete draft" button, cursing at the ceiling and moving on to the next thing in front of him. I honestly think you should protest the ticket prices about which you're complaining by never, ever attending another Wilco show. Yes, actually, you do.

Objection: non-responsive.

what doesn't feel like March?

I see nothing incongruent about someone running for office while espousing a belief in limiting the role of government. It's not the same as espousing the idea of no government.

we don't have enough demand for the the oil produced in Canada. So that oil can either be refined in the US, under tight environmental standards, or it can be refined in China (which is where much or most of the surplus will go if the pipeline isn't completed). It's kind of absurd to only focus on the environmental impact of supplementing an already substantially complete pipeline system and ignore the environmental impact of the oil being refined in China.

The First Great Song You Heard in Concert

and I think my song was Mr. Crowley in 1986. I was 14. but it's entirely possible my parents took me to a concert before that. I have horrible recall. -
The First Great Song You Heard in Concert

every time I hear In Between Days I am just about instantly transported back to high school and remembering how that song was like IV Dilaudid against the angst of teendom.
