on Saturday we're going to see a Zeppelin cover band, creatively entitled "Led Zeppelin 2" I'm hoping they're either really good or really not.

I've had a spiritual experience or two, and I know that there is a higher power, but I've received no instructions as to his/her/its banking needs or views on abortion or twerking. I also think it's interesting that for such a fundamentalist Christian nation we're viewed by much of the world as one of the laziest, most materialistic and depraved places on the planet. -

but take a step back. "facts" are only a result of perception. perception is often flawed. science has proclaimed as fact many things which later appeared to be false. stating that science can provide a non-spiritual explanation for every claimed spiritual experience doesn't prove that spiritual experiences did not occur. I will agree that a lot of things can be virtually ruled out by science, but I assert that it's hypocritical arrogance for one to claim absolutely that science can prove the irrationality of all things spiritual. -

seems awfully closed-minded not to accept the possibility that someone might have had an experience that makes her rationally believe in the existence of a god as surely as someone else rationally believes in the scientific evidence of evolution. -

Exactly what the aliens who planted the fossils want you to think. And yes, I just made a Friends reference. -
I am extremely turned on by the scent of my wife's breath. I am very turned off by cheesy guitar tones.

Do you care that Beck has a new album coming out
Atticus replied to KevinG's topic in Someone Else's Song
I don't want people here to think I'm just following Sir Stewart's lead (although I would follow that man into the gates of hell, just for the record), but I realized this morning that I really don't seem to care that Beck has a new album out or coming out or whatever it's doing. I just have a lot on my plate right now. I just bought Logic Pro X and I think I could spend the next 7 years in a room playing with it. -

I read that as "By Larry Bird and Bob Dylan" I probably still wouldn't read it though. -

I think civil debate is pretty much always a good idea. in this case it helps shed light on what a ridiculous idea it is to teach school children one version of magic alongside the science of evolution (for the sake of disclosure, I believe in a higher power, but it doesn't have an autobiography). In order for there to be any real balance, the schools would need to teach evolution and every other corresponding theory of how we all got here, however outlandish. Seems like such a simple first amendment issue to me, but I think the more we can get pro-creationsists on the record, the better. -
Seems like the practical thing to do is just move/relocate to that area. Completely alleviates the lodging issue.

How much is needed for the 2015 deadline?

ok. no more pedals for awhile (the f*ck overdrive is being made). I never should have visited the gear page forum. those people know of too many good toys. here's what I'm going with for jams for the indefinite future: basic audio scarab deluxe fuzz --> boss TU-3 tuner --> digitech synth wah --> boss OC-3 super octave --> wampler ego compressor --> chunky cheese (lovetone big cheese clone) fuzz --> crowther hotcake --> MXR Phase 90 (script setting) --> fulltone deja vibe --> joyo ultimate drive (OCD clone) --> wampler euphoria OD --> MXR analog chorus

And Your Bird Can Sing Yer Blues Happiness Is a Warm Gun Don't Let Me Down The End This list will change 317 times before it's finalized. -
... of 5 Beatles tunes, and only 5, what would they be? I think Yer Blues would make my list, and probably Happiness Is a Warm Gun. This will take some work.

What is wrong with you? I was asked to.

I'm turned on by the gentle caressing of my balls. I'm turned off by the crushing of my balls. To clarify, by "balls" I mean the back of my neck.

I'm not currently in jail. But if I were in jail, when I got out I'd spend time with my wife, stepson and pedalboard. And eat some donut holes.
