It's been fun reading up on the predictable Via Chicago political bent. Haven't missed much, I see. Don't mind me, I'll just be over here...

talking to a magazine that has featured Obama on the cover 7 times vs. 2 for McCain within the last 8 months might make someone a little "prickly." media bias like that would put anyone in a sour mood.

from DRUDGE: FLASH: Fri Aug 22 2008 17:52:03 ET /// KMBC's Micheal Mahoney reports a company in Kansas City, which specializes in political literature, has been printing Obama-Bayh material... MORE... Gill Studios, would not confirm information about the material. They would not deny it either. At least three sources close to the plant's operations reported the Obama-Bayh material was being produced... I guess this is your match made in heaven. Gill Studios is located near where I live.

I'm sick of seeing Obama AND McCain. I want a "do-over". The only positive is Dubya will be gone, but the next day we'll be getting one of these two a-holes. What a craptastic country we're living in. Barack is enhancing the gray to appear more distinguished...chicks dig it.

5 comments about evan almighty: my kids loved it (i liked it too). steve did a good job with the role. i don't care if i ever see john goodman in anything else ever again. wanda sykes needs to find another role besides "wise-cracking bit player". i hope there won't be a 3rd "almighty" movie.

The "I so don't care about the Olympics" thread

this thread is really funny. in case anybody was wondering. -
i don't know about you, but a sense of humor is what keeps my sanity in check. obsessing over things i can't control isn't productive. i'd rather have a laugh instead from time to time. no offense.

I'll take issue with this point. I would argue that the true "sheep" are the ones that buy all the B.S. Obama utters and who fall for some brand of "hope." I watch very little of Obama's speeches and instead focus on his handsome visage and his words, which are like butter melting all over me like a warm waffle soaked in syrup..mmmmm....gooood. I will not deny that having a leader that inspires people is like...totally awesome. Maybe if I dug a little deeper than the tired old Dem talking points I would understand that informed and well-reasoned voters do exist and that although they may have

well, you obviously percieve things differently than i do. this book is not a be all and end all. it does not cover all there is regarding incorporating faith into everyday life. but it is a great introduction into doing so. you are only going to get what you put into it. if your faith journey stops at rick warren's book, then you aren't really interested in seeking "truth", but are more likely just a member of oprah's book club crossing this book off your list and ready to delve into the next deepak chopra offering or whatever new guru she happens to be pimping. just because i value the bo

the "purpose driven life" is not a self-help book, although to an atheist i could see how it's percieved that way. this book has a great message and is a great resource to those of faith. it has had a great influence on me personally. rick warren is as human and imperfect as anyone. i put no individual on a pedestal, rick warren included. he was inspired to write a great book. hopefully, he will be inspired to to other things as impactful as that in the future, or maybe it will be someone else. that being said, i don't like the ridiculous marketing and offshoot merchandise the book has ge

that's a damn good question. this forum did nothing to sway anyone. the supporters of each candidate heard what they wanted to hear while letting their bias keep them from objectively analyzing the opponent's responses. the press got their picture of them together on stage, the candidates got their evangelical "photo-op" with rick warren, and the pundits got some new material to chew on for a while. on a side note... meanwhile, nancy grace is still all over the "tot mom/caylee" story. she is one disgusting human being (nancy grace, that is). i don't know how someone could continually ma

i caught simon kirke's drumstick during a bad company concert years ago. i gave it to my brother free of charge so he could feel "warm and tingly inside."

would've loved to have seen a live and rare track release instead. oh well, maybe it will get some new fans into the g.s. fold.

i'm disappointed there isn't more stuff on there. if you've got the original cd's already, what's the incentive? 2 songs? who gives a crap. rhino can do better than that. this is just lame.
