I saw the Grateful Dead at the Uptown... transcendent Lobby Interior Exterior The saddest thing is that people (some sanctioned, others not) are taking the architectural treasures from the inside and outside of the theatre. There has been a "save the uptown" group forever, but I don't think they have ever gotten the city's attention.

So far tucker has been hit/run in this thread. It'd be good if he would clarify a few things.

There is definitely more intense energy when standing (as it allows for dancing and just more movement), but I was just at the 4/6 Tweedy solo show where everyone was seated, and it was one of the most enjoyable shows of his I have seen.

Every now and then I listen to Sean Hannity's radio show (just to see what he's up to) and he plays this awful C&W song -- which I just found out is "Independence Day" by Martina McBride. Ugh.

I managed to have lots of fun without it. Way too much fun.

How long is the flight? I have been watching these Aussie show threads with intense curiosity. I would have loved to make the trip. I have never been to Australia and I cannot think of a better excuse to go.
