Weren't the Republicans just as instrumental as the sitting president in balancing a budget the last time a Democratic president was in office?

Do I?

I think this thread is a glowing example of most of the "lefties" I have as friends and/or come across. They name call, they demonize, they shun anyone with a traditional mindset or anyone who wants to hold on to what they may believe to be an American tradition. What were all the words you used earlier, Louie? Xenophobic? Gawd awful Racist? Crazy ass? Let's be honest there are extremes to both parties. And the whole Civil War comment? We have a black president....the minority are white racists in this country. But let's not discuss the people of other races that are also racist....right? It'

I have not but now I will. Thanks

Bill Murray has a couple of brothers and they spent a lot of time on the golf course growing up. I heard a rumor that he actually had a hot dog stand by the 18th hole at one golf course. Hahaha If I'm not mistaken Caddyshack was loosely based on the Murray brothers experiences on the courses growing up.

Now THAT'S what I'm talkin about! Thanks

I keep discovering how much improvising he did in the 70's and 80's flicks I love so much. The more I read and find out about this guy the deeper my appreciation becomes. Not to mention, I recently found out that the sample used by the Beastie Boys on "Mark On The Bus" was a National Lampoons radio clip of none other than Bill Fucking Murray. "you should sleep late man, its much easier on your constitution" (Thanks Stooka) I think he's a living legend and I'm sure I can there are some people on here that can remind me of some cool shit and teach me some more about this dude. Here's to you Mr.

Fascinating. Thank you

Ah ha. Well is doing a really good job. We'll all be keeping an eye on that stock market. He's got a couple years to go... Of course the wealthy are doing well. The fact is that most of the wealthy people in this country own some type of business, so go ahead and tax them. They will turn around and pass the cost of taxes and regulation on to the consumer. Obviously this is just my opinion.

Is it his policies that are causing this?

"Don't bore us...get to the chorus" Hahaha

Definitely the other party.

Who proposed the "sequestration"?

So if the deadline passes and the cuts to defense and entitlements go into effect what are your predictions? Economic collapse? China invades US? I'm being a smart ass at the end of that question but I am interested in what some of you think will happen. I'm afraid we have to stop spending so much so why not start there? I'm being serious in asking about predictions. Not trying to be an overall smart ass.

You goin?Edited: wait! That's why you put it on here..... Gotcha!

I was sure it was.

It's hard enough to get ammo now.

It will be interesting to see if he truly had mistaken as a burglar or if some of the calls to the home that were "domestic in nature" happened to be precursors to this horrible event. This too is an appropriate article to post. http://www.chronline.com/crime/article_430b2a60-74d8-11e2-983f-0019bb2963f4.html

Awwwww shit! Just watched the Solid Sound where wilco, Levon and co. perform The Weight. What the hell!?!? Tweedy is almost having trouble reading the damn words and singing at the same time. Granted the guy has a lot of lyrics stored up there in his noggin but C'MON! This song and especially the first verse is some Americana that should IMO be second nature to him. It kinda hurt my feelings in a weird sort of way.

So glad I could suggest. The stories are so cool and the way it's written you can just hear his voice sometimes. It also has parts that are written by other people and their accounts with The Band. Hurry so we can talk about it!

The guns were once legal, they were required to register the guns, then boom- they had to turn those guns in. I would not participate in a buy back. I am not expecting the 2nd amendment to be repealed but there are people, politicians who I'm sure would vote for it today. Im sure in the 1920's the people of New Zealand didn't think that their guns would become illegal either. Cocaine.... Cocaine?! That's an interesting point.... Since its been illegal has it disappeared? Have the number of cocaine related crimes been reduced? What is Jart? If its illegal I may try to find some...
-
But were they illegal when the registry started? Such as New Zealand, Canada and Australia?
-
I believe that some cities in California used registrations to confiscate guns. I also have heard Chicago used a long gun registry to confiscate semi automatic guns. I've only been told that, I'm sure people on here who live there can support or deny this. Let's see, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, Bermuda, Cuba, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Ireland, Jamaica, Soviet Georgia...have all used a registry to confiscate citizens privately owned guns.... So I'd say more than a 50% chance but I'm no statistician. Weren't they confiscating registered guns in New Orleans during hurricane Katrina?
