I was glad the Notre Dame - USC game raised my pulse quite a bit today, but I'm also glad our streak is still alive.

You'll have to figure it out yourself based on footage from various videos/DVDs shot at the loft, because no one here is going to tell you. Even though its not a well kept secret or anything, it's generally considered an invasion of the band's privacy.

I mean no disrespect to anyone in this thread (but I sort of do), but the only artistic thing that I believe is not subjective is that the Beatles made great music. I have no respect for anyone's musical tastes who doesn't like the Beatles, because if the Beatles don't get you going, then your understanding of what constitutes music is so different from my own that its not worth discussing. This is the one case where I think there is a correct opinion. (but thats just my opinion, so no one else should care anyway)

I'm an unabashed Obama lover, but count me among the cynics. I think he's got a bit more legwork to do before he's Peace Prize worthy, but I'm happy for him. I kind of feel bad for Malia and Sasha - how can they ever live up to their parents? I imagine Obama sitting in a rocking chair 40 years from now saying something along the lines of "By the time I was your age, I was the first African-American president, I won the Nobel Peace Prize, won a Grammy, a best selling author, solved the health care crisis (I hope)"

Do you have Snow Leopard? If so you can open up any of the clips in Quicktime and trim them down to the short clips you want very easily. I often do this to larger clips before I import them into iMovie just so I don't have to wait for iMovie to transcode them into the format it wants. You can do the same thing with Quicktime Pro in earlier versions of OSX, but yeah, if you have Snow Leopard you're good to go.

I think the Pac 10 gets a bum rap in general - there are some very good teams in the conference this year, and Washington almost beat LSU and beat us, so they are clearly very talented. I've read before that USC will have to let go of its stranglehold on Pac 10 championships before the conference gets respect, so hopefully this is the start of that. We were not going to make it to the National Championship game anyhow I think, but we can still get to the Rose Bowl hopefully. And our real QB will hopefully be back next week...

Classic USC. It's almost too predictable at this point that we choke against mediocre Pac 10 teams. I'm not too broke up about the loss, but some of my friends from school are reaching for the cyanide. Heh.

The Tigers do seem to be interested in letting the Twins and White Sox climb back into contention.

Both defenses are really doing well. I think the worries about Barkley in the Horseshoe were clearly justified. I'm just glad I didn't try and do any big smacktalking with anyone.

As Barack said last night: i.e. Lets forget about Joe Wilson's outburst; it's just a distraction. It doesn't further the health care debate by focusing on the dude, so lets not waste the nation's time on it.
