Not to take this farther off topic but... "It is to be produced by Joss Whedon who will write the first arc." He's not writing ALL of them after that from what I understand. He's very closely involved and will be writing a bunch, but there are going to be a few writers.

I think one good song per state sounds like a nice doable 50 song album.
