  1. Disagree. Wilco needs to give the north the attention it deserves. Anyways, unless Wilco is actually going to come way north (something gives me the feeling that the only BC city they'll play will be Vancouver.....) I sadly, will not be able to attend any concerts.
  2. WHAT! HOW ARE THE AVALANCHE SO GOOD?! The world no longer makes sense to me. Duchene is looking really good, but more importantly, Craig Anderson is lights out. Speaking of the Whalers, just found myself a Whalers tshirt yesterday. It'll go nice with my Winnipeg Jet's shirt in my "defunct NHL teams collection".
  3. Yeah, Sea Change which they gave a 6.9 to. That always bugged me, even though I know I shouldn't care, it'd be one of my top-5 this decade.
  4. I don't understand this. He's already spent the past decade and a half in Wilco/Jeff Tweedy's shadow and this will certainly not help.
  5. Yeah but now they have "The Hills" and "16 and Pregnant".
  6. What about a recent year? I thought 2008 had some slim pickins.
  7. Those playoff predictions look pretty right on. I'd take the Blues a bit higher though, they're going to be a good team, I think. EDIT: Should be noted that tonight is Joe Sakic night. One of the all time greats.
  8. TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT!!!! Can't believe it.
  9. You dudes remember that time Wilco played the Malkin Bowl and Jeff said "don't worry, we'll be back sooner next time!". That was two years ago............... Jeff, why do you lie to your fans?! :'(
  10. Why did you bold just Pitts? Chicago did that too, that's how they got Toews (3rd 2006) and Kane (1st 2007), and now they're expected to challenge Detroit for the Central Division. That's what LA is doing, that's what Colorado will do. Washington got Ovechkin and Backstrom with high, first round draft picks. It's the quickest and easiest way to go from the bottom of the pack to the top. Generally, a top-5 pick is likely to a future NHLer and perhaps even a franchise player. It sucks but that's what involve a rebuilding in the modern NHL. I think most Toronto fans realized that. They're stil
  11. I disagree with your Detroit example. It'd be great if every team was as good as drafting late in the draft as Detroit, but no one else is. So you have to rely on your first round draft picks. Look at Brian Burkes draft record, name one player he's drafted after the second round that has turned out to be successful. Uhh... Uhhh.. yeah exactly, time's up. How are the Maple Leafs going to get any better? They have a rookie goaltender signed to a one year contract, besides that the only player who would be top-tier prospect is Schenn. So what will they have to do? Build their team through free ag
  12. You really think Toronto can be a playoff team, even with Kessel? He had 36 goals playing with the Bruins but who's going to feed him the puck in Toronto? Brian Burke doesn't understand the concept of "rebuilding". They should have followed Pittsburgh and Chicago's method. Good drafting is the absolute best way to win. Look at the two teams I just mentioned, or Detroit. Columbus and St. Louis have started drafting well and look at the recent success they've had. Hell, Kessel won't even be back till part way through November and it will take a young player like him a long time to be catch up to
  13. Toronto got owned. Jeeze, Brian Burke is a terrible general manager. Boston gets two high first round draft picks...
  14. The Buffalo Springfield! I love the CBC.

    Wilco The Album

    Honestly, that was pretty good.
  16. Rubber Soul is my favorite of the "early" pre-acid Beatles.
  17. WHAT?! Run For Your Life is all sorts of awesome.
