I just did some checking. Katy Perry has over 71 million Facebook followers and over 91 million Twitter followers. These are different days, my friend. -
Love. Two of my favorite Carolinians.
-
If they were playing closer to me, say Atlanta, I would totally go. Wish they were doing more than 5 shows.
-
But why is that weird? That's who TOTD is, except when they first formed Matt Cameron was a member of Soundgarden. Which I suppose he still is? I'm with you on time passing, though I'm not too upset about leaving my 20s behind.
-
I believe you are correct, sir. I'd totally go see them sans Eddie if they were doing more than five shows (and closer to me). Well.....
-
Maybe Mike McCready will come out and jam with Nels. He's been 'special guest' at some festival shows lately (w/Nathaniel Rateliff, for one).
-
Ha! We did eat dinner there before the show. It was ok, a little over priced in my opinion. I'm not a big wine person but I did have one glass just because I felt I should. Anyway, I thought it was a good crowd. Pretty respectful and appreciative. Did he do River of Deceit? I've read where he's been covering it in his shows. I love the original but I think Chris does a great cover.

Too bad we can't use these things retroactively. I already have tickets to see Cheap Trick, which was one of the shows on the list.
-
I was there. I enjoyed hearing the Trace songs but I really loved Highway 61 and Methamphetamine. Dylan cover was cool, too. City Winery was a neat venue. I'm glad they finally got their issues worked out so they could open.

I wouldn't mind a bit if Eddie wanted to pop in during the Wilco shows in Seattle. Mike, either. He does own a Jeff Tweedy guitar, so...

Thanks for the info! I really hope to get over to that side of Seattle when I'm there as I love visiting record stores. Grimey's in Nashville is a fun place, too. As for seeing any rock stars, one can dream!

Thanks for the heads up! I emailed Chihuly and received this response: Good Morning Jen, Thank you for contacting Chihuly Garden and Glass. We look forward to your visit over Labor Day. In the past we have been fully open over the holiday weekend. Our calendar is not solidified until 30 days in advance, but I would guess we will be fully open. I would recommend checking back in the beginning of August to confirm. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to give us a call directly at 206.753.4929 Best Wishes, Ramsay Riddell So, they're more than likely open but will

Been a fan of PJ since the beginning (Ten was the first cd I ever bought) and I obsessed over them (well, mostly Eddie and Jeff) hard for 3 or 4 years, as much as you could obsess over a band in the pre-internet era. Fast forward 25 years and I've only seen them a handful of times, mainly because the first show I had tix to was cancelled during that whole TM thing and the fact that I was dirt poor during the height of my obsession. Watching the PJ20 documentary was pretty eye opening (I didn't even recognize MM) for me because I had fallen out of love with the band for many years. Just saw th

Re the EMP Museum, we definitely plan on visiting that and the Chilhuhly (Sp?) glass museum. My brother and his family visited Seattle a couple of summers ago and highly recommended both of those.
-
That was a fun ticket buying process! Excited to see you in a few months! Is Easy Street records the place with the Mother Love Bone mural (which Jeff Ament just painted again)? I definitely want to see that.
-
Looking at the tix available for Seattle, they all have UPS shipping. I've only ever done the email tickets. Not sure I would trust anything else.

StubHub cites a 'fanprotect guarantee' on its website. I would think if a seller was caught selling invalid tickets they would be banned for any future sales. I'm just being naive, though. I know there are ways around anything. Would never buy a ticket off craigslist, though.
-
Is that for all venues, though? I've had to resort to StubHub in the past and have had no problems with tickets not being valid. Not to say I wasn't nervous walking up to the venue before my ticket was swiped.
-
Any idea why they choose The Moore? Maybe they are trying to do more intimate shows? 1400 is tiny.
-
Thank you! I haven't done a Wilco presale in a while. Good luck to you! I'm only trying for one show but it's still so nerve wracking, especially when tickets are already on Stub Hub.
-
Is there a password for this? Anyone?
-
I'm on the east coast but thinking of flying in for this. Never been to Seattle so this is as good of an excuse as any. Besides the Moore Theater is pretty historic. I've listened to that Mad Season show a hundred times probably. I noticed on TM there is an internet presale on Thursday, which is good for me since I can't do the Wednesday presale (stupid job!). Any idea what this is? Didn't know if this was the Moore's presale or what.

Cool. Hope it works out for you. I will say that my Garmin does not like it when I veer off the interstates. Maybe there's some kind of feature I don't know about that would change that, I don't know. But I got good and lost about a month ago way out in 'the country' because my Garmin kept trying to get me back on the interstate, which is not where I needed to be. I was so frustrated I almost threw it out the window. That 'recalculating' can really grate on your nerves, especially when you don't know where the hell you are.

This is the one I have and I love it. I originally went to Best Buy with all intentions of buying it, but after 30 minutes or so of just looking, not one person asked if I needed help (the GPS are kept in locked cabinets). So I just looked some more, found the one I wanted, and went home and bought it off Amazon. For about $100 cheaper I might add. Oh, and I also use the GPS app on my iPhone, sometimes simultaneously with my Garmin. Yes, I am anal that way.
