Did anyone see Muse? I watched half of Arcade Fire and then left for The National show downtown, but I've read great reviews of Muse. I haven't listened to them much. Am I missing out?

Andrew Bird delaying the Arctic Monkeys is a good thing, not a bad thing. No joke. Amazing studio work to make him sound better, perhaps? His live performances make me sad. I told myself I would stay at least 3 songs but I didn't even get that far.

It was my first time at ACL and I'm really glad I went. Weather was scorching hot but I loved the performances. My favorites other than Wilco: The National (both at Emo's and the festival); Spoon (both at La Zona Rosa and the festival); Peter Bjorn and John; Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Andrew Bird and Dr. Dog. Oh, and I have a soft spot in my heart for Kelly Willis. They played it again at the ACL festival. I about died. So good.

Will they do the ticket drop on the same day as the taping? I'd love to go but I don't know if I want to take that much time away from the festival chasing something I'm not gonna get.

Adrian Peterson gets the first TD of his career. And with Chester Taylor injured, he will be seeing a lot more carries.

I gotta put in a word for my Sooners. Coming into the season the question marks were the linebackers and a redshirt freshman quarterback. Both have been outstanding, first in a drubbing of North Texas and yesterday beating Miami 51-13. The next big test is Texas, and considering the way the Longhorns have played so far, UT should be scared, very scared. If the Sooners pull off a win at the Cotton Bowl, a national title run is likely.

I'll test fate. I put my White Stripes tickets on eBay starting at face value. I'm not trying to make a ton of money here. I just decided I'd rather take my time and see the Decemberists and maybe Bob, too. No doubt. If Wilco plays Saturday I might have to sell my tickets to The National, too.

Anyone have any idea how much a pair of White Stripes tickets would bring? I have a pair and for the right price ... well ... maybe it could pay a good chunk of my trip. EDIT: Looks like they're averaging about $100 a ticket on craigslist. I bet they'd bring more the day of the show.

I don't watch the show but I'm guessing if you spend a lot of time listening to those two bands you might have trouble with a contest involving (what I assume to be) more mainstream selections.

I thought it would be a cover story when SBS was released but it wasn't. Maybe it was scrapped?

I hadn't thought about chairs. Are they common and/or necessary to enjoy the festival? I figure we will get tired of standing for sure.

Maybe we should just pack our bicycles. Would that make the weekend easier?

I wonder if it's possible to see the Decemberists at the festival (7:45-8:30) and still make it in time for the White Stripes at Stubb's?

Got mine too. Now I can definitely see Arcade Fire at the festival.

If Wilco plays Saturday night they'll be going against The National again, and we can restart that whole discussion.
