There's a difference between confirmed crapfest (Garden State) and crapfest by opinion (Crash and Million Dollar Baby).

That's it right there. And don't forget to add that when it comes to acting, a turd with legs is better than Natalie Portman (Star Wars, Closer, Garden State, all = ).

Well, I think the key is to not vote in Presidential elections for someone you know is going to lose, especially when one of the two (other) major parties offer someone popular but basically deplorable (i.e. Bush) and the Democrats offer someone electable, not necessarily awesome, but still way better.

Well, it did say that it was determining gapless playback when I installed it. It just doesn't seem to have worked, which is weird. How do you do it manually? I also need to update my iPod, which might be related.

Yeah, hopefully people might assume that IDs are a necessity for even short-distance travel these days.

I don't like to use crossfade on albums, but it kicks ass on shuffle. Update on gapless playback - it doesn't seem to eliminate gaps on the iPod. I was playing a live album and the tracks still played with gaps in them. So, I don't know...

My understanding is that black or blue inks hold up better. I think this is a policy for just about every official entity.

There has always been a slight gap between tracks, though, even with the setting at "0." This, I think, is more for iPod playback, though. Previously, iPods couldn't play tracks without a small gap between each one. As for gapless playback in iTunes, who doesn't use Crossfade Playback? My only gripe about the iPod is that you can't crossfade tracks.

Think so.

If you're on Mac, go to the apple menu and select "Check for updates." If not on a Mac, you can download the new iTunes here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Ahhhhh, gapless. Went right home last night and did the update.

Sweet, I guess that makes two of us. Only in PA, I think that it's "Unaffiliated," not "Independent."

Definitely worth repeated listens.

Caliber, are you a single-issue voter (grammar)?
-
EXCELLENT, excellent point.

You might as well just not vote.

Today is a tough day. In many ways, it is a real day of mourning for a lot of people. In other ways, it is a day tinged with anxiety and anger. To compound this, every TV channel and radio station is forcefeeding disaster, death, and destruction to every American, sensationalizing it, monetizing it, making it something that makes us just want to forget it. The truth is, it's just imperative to be thankful today. Be thankful for sadness but also for humor. Be thankful for people you love, and even those you dislike. You can definitely be happy about weddings, and you can definitely be sad ab

It's kind of odd that Fox is really hyping the Simpsons to compete with September 11 programming.

I just talked to Pat and John; they said that the new Wilco album sounds exactly like Canyon Arrow. -

If you ask me, it's not that the media is liberal or conservative leaning, it's that it all stinks! That's one reason why I don't watch television.

I don't think that level-headed critics would try to justify the murder of innocent civilians by saying that "we asked for it." For example, I disagree with the response post-Afghanistan, but I sincerely sympathize with all innocent victims and understand the horriffic magnitude of the attack. And my disagreement—and wishes that we'd make more efforts to change—do not equate to "we asked for it." If you want to use your analogy, perhaps you have to allow first that such an attack is always unjustified, although a person's/country's attitudes, behaviors, and actions, etc. may allow attacke

I suggest that on September 11, we all try to focus on positive things, like this.
