New Elliott Smith Demos: I posted them Here. Or you can get them Here.
-
Because they're FLAC files (kind of like zip files for music), they probably won't play on your MP3 player, but I'm not sure. Try using this to convert them to WAV: http://cyberial.com/flacinstaller.asp Then, from there, you can convert them to MP3 using iTunes or what you normally use. Here is some more info on FLAC if you're feeling bored: http://flac.sourceforge.net/
-
I probably won't wear any, I guess.
-
Left-click on the link to the show, and then you can right-click on the files and download them individually.
-
I put a show up here about a week ago: http://download.owlandbear.com/ It's in FLAC, though.
-
Yeah, I liked the green note better too. And some of the icons look shitty too. It just has clunkier-looking graphics in general. God, I'm a nerd.

hehe

Oh, hey, there it is. I'll try to get "My Words" up here tomorrow afternoon.
-
My guess is it was for starting threads like this. Reminds me of when the jackass boyfriend says "You can't break up with me, I don't even know what I did," when he knows full-well that his retardation is both chronic and terminal, even if it wasn't a last-straw kind of thing. I'd suggest just being normal if you don't want to get permanently banned. And lay off the fat chick nudie pics. Christ.
-
That show, although shitty quality in many places, has an incredible rendition of "My Words," as well, which is possibly one of the best songs Tweedy has ever written. I'm a big fan of the EP version of Panthers, too. In fact, I just listened to it! If you want, I can try to post "My Words" and "Panthers" from that show. But I won't be able to do it until tomorrow.

Measure your implicit prejudices
owl replied to Duck-Billed Catechist's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
The thing that confuses me is: how can I be prejudiced against Muslims and be an anti-war freedom-hater at the same time? This is fucking with the space-time continuum. -

Agreed. And apparently I'm prejudiced after all. I thought the only thing I hated was our freedom. -
Yeah, I'm impressed by the new features, but it sure is ugly.

You just have to swear it off. Cold turkey means that you can't have ANY, not even one drag from someone else's cigarette. Otherwise, you'll just come cryin' back. Mark my words.

link?
-
Cool. I'm going to order tickets.
-
I smoked heavily for 5 years and quit three years ago. I tried numerous different methods, numerous different times, but the only way that worked for me was cold turkey. The key, however, is in one tiny detail: you have to swear off smoking and tobacco of any kind, basically. No drags from anyone else's cigarettes, no cigarettes after three months. Nothing. Not for at least a few years. You can do it, man. You just have to make a promise. My psychological reasoning was: If I can't keep a promise to myself, what good is my word to anyone else? Good luck. Smoking isn't even worth the hea

Yeah. Last time I went was about a month ago to see Make Believe (opening for Cursive). I was surprised to see so many people enjoying Make Believe.

BBJ is the main reason I want to go.
-
Yeah, I think I'll plan to go. I really want to see BBJ. I wonder what the odds are that it'll sell out? And yeah, the Chameleon's alright. It's nice to see they're getting some decent shows again. They were really stinking it up for a while, there.
-
Hahaha, I think we're talking about the same show here, Zepp. Dang, I don't like earplugs. I guess I should also get to know DBT before I go. The new Bare CD is pretty damn good. Way better than the last one, although Motherfucker is an awesome song.
-
It's $15 plus whatever Ticketmaster wants to gouge me out of. Is it worth it? Tell me about your DBT and Bobby Bare experiences.
-
By the way, I thought my post was pretty relaxed. I was just making one of the casual "bitter, caustic, and often ironic" remarks for which I'm known.
-
Now that you've defined "sarcasm," please go up and read my post again. Or, just clarify your voting history. Whichever works best for you.

Is that also why you're a Bush-voter?
