I love love love The Big Lebowski. I saw it twice in the theatre, but that was because I don't remember much from the first time since my friends and i had been doing bong hits in the car for an hour leading up to it.

I thought Dune was horrible when it came out - and it's even worse now. My daughter LOVED that movie when she was 10.....strange kid.

I would like to see There Will Be Blood - though Graham is apprehensive. He says he doesn't know if he can stomach another film with a grimacing Daniel Day Lewis. We saw a trailer for The Diving Bell and the Butterfly - it made me feel itchy.

You forgot The Big Lebowski, which in my opinion is likely one of the greatest comedies of all time.......and O Brother? I think I saw that one three times in the theatre. I was lukewarm on Miller's Crossing and Hudsucker. I liked Barton Fink and Blood Simple alot. Raising Arizona is great, but it feels dated and worn out to me now. Fargo is still likely my favorite. (I have not seen Intolerable Cruelty, The Man Who Wasn't There or Ladykillers)

I think my favorite was from my last place of employment. As a joke, my friend Kimberly wrapped a framed picture of herself in some cheesy glamour shot pose in front of a beach backdrop. I think it was from a cruise she went on or something. So, the woman in the cube next to her, Celeste, gets it.....everyone laughs, knowing its a joke and that Kimberly really has another gift for the exchange.....but, Celeste clutches the photo and hugs and goes, "I love it!" since I realized today that we had only seen one movie in the theatre this year, I decided it was time to go to a movie! I haven't read the book, nor did I know anything about the movie going into it.......I didn't even realize it was a Coen Bros movie until a few days ago. I used to run an art gallery in West Town - and your work would be lovely there. However, only submissions from the Chicago area make it into the jury pool. Chicago has an Artist's Month in October and along with it they put out a great gallery guide. I was thinking it might be a good start for looking into names, places, etc. Chicago Artist's Month I haven't taken a very deep look at the site - so, it may not have everything you are looking for.
