i guess his earlier stuff is more 'country' sounding. this one is not at all. just great f'in rock n roll. in the qtv interview i saw, he talked about listening to a lot of damn the torpedoes/early petty. that's a good thing in my book. if i had heard this last year, it probably would be near the top of my fave records.

never heard him before until i saw him on qtv's youtube page. this is a great album.

i watched damn near the whole thing. what really impressed me was the B.O.B./bruno mars/janelle monea performance. i had heard janelle's music before that & liked it but never heard the other two guys. bruno mars' doo-wop/r&b bit was pretty cool. also, katy perry's music is damn catchy.

yeah, i caught it. the beginning was rough but kinks got worked out. his voice is god awful these days. wow. he looked like he was digging it though. he really looked like a song & dance man up there.

yeah, lyrically that song makes absolutely no sense. i do love the music of it though.

oh no, i agree. is that the song with the line: there are two things that i hate having to cook & trying to date those are two things that i hate horrible.

there doesn't seem to be that southern soul from the last two albums that i loved so much. and the lyrics on a few songs are not good.
