  1. I really think that Pitchfork couldn't be any more right in awarding Side With the Seeds the best track ribbon. I also think they couldn't be any more wrong when they say Nels Cline contributed solos, but not texture. Someone needs to buy that constipated critic a pair of headphones and tell him to slow down his mouth and open his ears.
  2. "Best SBS review ever." (someone post a picture of that comic book guy on the simpsons)

That makes total sense. Jim said he was moving to Japan (how long ago was that?) to concentrate on film and stop playing music. It's no shocker that maybe his head wasn't in the right place to mix a Wilco record. But Wait! Could this be the only point of drama and tension in the history of SBS. Someone needs to find out a little more about it and totally blow it out of proportion so we can get something new from the magazines every time they write about the band.
  4. It is, since a lot of us have been reading all the press on this record we can find, I think out of sheer curiosity. But they need something to tie the story up, something from the lyrics, and those aren't a bad place to start. Its only unfortunate when they misquote the lyrics or talk about Blue Sky Blue. I will still take that over: Jeff Tweedy leaves rehab and makes flowery sunshine record with out a trace of experimentalism.
  5. You would be wise to avoid them. I looked at two and they we're something along the lines of "Wilco used to be all crazy with like static and stuff coming out of nowhere, but now its just kinda like boring you know? like just kinda some old man classic rock shit."
  6. Ever since all those damn kids at the mall started buying those 'This Machine Kills Facists' shirts, and hopping trains. Old Timey is just so MTV these days.
  7. Kicking Television, would give Garrison a heart attack.
  8. When the Roses Bloom Again!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Do you guys think Garrison Keeler was really a dead head?
  10. Oh Nels is frightening Garrison with some cosmic mind expansion here.
  11. Muzzle of Bees! who would have thought an older cut?! It sounds really nice in that radio kind of way.
  12. Do you think they're eating powdered milk biscuits while they wait through this crap. I really hope some stories from the band on this thing emerge later, like a humerous John Stiratt-Garrison Keeler interaction.
  13. Just the kind of brain I need. Thankyou, meltdown temporatily averted.
  14. Oh god, it gets worse and worse. My old college email account was finally deleted, too bad that is the one music today has me under. Also too bad I can't change the email on my music today profile. Also too bad when I log in on the music today site it shows no proof that I have payed for the cd/dvd. This could amount to one of the biggest dissapointments/technology snafus of my life. Shit.
  15. Which Mott the Hoople album is this song on?
  16. Oh this brings on so many revelations. 1. The whole Pat is dead rumor is totally bunk. 2. All of the footage so far hasn't been them recording, but rehearsing. 3. Nels Cline is positoned strategically behind a pole so as not to blind people with his magnificence.
  17. Thanks, anywho. You're still a twentieth century boy in my book.
  18. Didn't find anything. I was hoping for some more of that instant gratification stuff we come to expect from the interweb. But thankyou anyways Mr. Bolan, I will telegram Sam and tell him your are still rocking on.
  19. I'm one of the many who preordered off the Wilco site in order to attain the much coveted DVD. I was curious if anyone had any experience with ordering from them, and if so: Will we get it before the release date? After?
  20. I'm a hack piano player and this one seems easy. I'm sure I could just listen to it and play along a million times, but I wanted to see if somebody already had it. Cheers.
  21. Not the Jeff Tweedy cross dressing thread I expected.
