I disagree. Get Behind Me Satan is my favorite album, as a whole. I'm looking forward to what they've got to offer for new material.

What kind of stuff are you interested in? How popular? I've got lots, but not sure if some is too obscure or whatever.

Yeah, just heard about this. That's too bad. A very talented writer (Summer of '49 is a favorite read of mine). His coverage of the Viet Nam "conflict" as a young reporter is noted as some excellent work, as well.

Kind of my point earlier.

Why would a bunch of people (many of whom do not know eachother on a personal level) want to share pics, thoughts, and common interests with eachother via the internet? Insane, I tells ya!

Back-to-back-to-back-to-back homers at the Fens to take the lead. Wow.

Happy Birthday, man!

Nice pics Sir S. It does look like you were just a bit out of pizza-launching range, though. The Celtics tribute was nice. NESN had Bob Cousy up in the booth for a half inning. Although he was hard to understand at times (kind of a quiet voice and he's old) he had some nice short stories about past teammates and Red Auerbach.

Fruitbat is gotten to in the 8th. Yankees give up 5 runs in the 8th. Mr. April's two homers all for nothing in the end. Whenever I see Slappy high-five the first and third base coaches with his enormous gloved hand while rounding the bases for a home run, my mind flashes to the Hamburger Helper guy.

I've always liked that Orange Peel show. Great recording, too.
-
They've placed microphones around the inside of the park (I know there's one in center field at the base of the wall) and the idea is that you get the live on-field sounds of the game.
-
Has anyone been able to experience the Fenway surround-sound this year from home? I'm just wondering if it enhances the at-home experience significantly. They're the only ballpark currently doing it and I don't have the set up for it but might consider it if it indeed kicks ass.

Refer to Abreu as "Sheffield" during heckling the entire night.

Bobby Abreu is in right. May I suggest a deep-dish slice? Have a blast at the game. I'll be watching with a buddy from the Bronx. Also, time for an update of your sig rankings.

Alec Baldwin leaves a message for his 11 year old daughter

For whatever reason I can't open the link, but I imagine him saying "Do you know who the f*ck I am?!!" a la the pic Sir S posted a few weeks a go. -
And Ray Charles (among many other great musicians) a regular heroin user for many years. I think the point can be made that too much of anything=not good. ed. Although, come to think of it Ray seemed to do o.k., didn't he?

I don't see you as a punching bag, but you did throw into the discussion a belief that not many (around here, apparently)hold and you haven't backed it up or given a reason why his parents are at fault. Is there a history of his parents ignoring/not listening to the killer's cries for help you know of that the rest of us don't?
-
Unless the parents contributed to him having mental illness and/or blatantly ignored his need for professional help, I don't see how the parents can be held accountable for the kid flipping out. It appears the person to blame has been identified and is dead. Isn't that enough? In terms of directing anger towards the media: Sensationalism in the media isn't a new deal. It's been going on for a long time. Everyone knows this. Expect that in any coverage some people will be offended. The media are a business and of course will compete for viewers/listeners/newspaper sales. It is possible

Sweet. I wasn't aware you work for them. Not a bad gig.

'Belli's been contributing a bit to the offense, as well. I love having him for Wake

I've got some footqage of Ryan and Phil doing an impromptu gig at my pal's hippie bar next to the Fillmore (they popped in during rehearsal when the power went out at the Fillmore). RA plays Garcia's Tiger guitar. Pretty cool.
