I just heard the opener canceled due to a chance to play Conan....... Now we can have a show of shows......

I hear there is no curfew at the venue so maybe a 3 hour extravganza for us poor pitiful folks who got screwed in February

THink that is why we enjoy most of those bands vs the ones that just make it a money machine. Lots of similarities in Eddie and Jeff imo. Charlestonians just want a nice setlist that is unique and different then rest of tour so we will have braggin rights to the best show of 08...... Hands down that would do it. So cancel the opener and do an acoustic set of U Tupelo songs and then play 3 albums in their entirety But if not I am sure it will be a great c

PJ set the standard for fan clubs in imo. Been member since 96 and have had front row in 2000 and 12 row last week. I respect they only charge 15 bucks for membership and use seniority for tickets with lottery for the 1 and 2nd rows....... REM also does well. Had 2nd row this tour through fan club and would say they are the show to beat this summer. They are coming back in the fall and I wouldnt miss them. Sounded like the clash with intensity of guitars and vocals. Very fast pace with 25 songs in 120 minutes.

just saw pearl jam run through a 30 song set lasting 2 hours 40 minutes.... Long live PJ can wilco match that???

I am starting to think that way myself but was hoping that Wilco would do something special........ Like the chicago shows to make up for the rescheduling. But it might be better to see Radiohead with NYC in background. I have seen radiohead in spring and it was overwhelming. I have 4th row for charleston so it is always hard to walk away from sweet seats....

If fuel prices hadnt gone up I was thinking of flying to SF for Beck and Radiohead...... But dont think I can afford plane ticket. Maybe WIlco will chip in since they will be there the next night. Had thought of selling charleston to pay for SF...... decisions decisions.......

wonder if band plans anything to make up for dissing us in February. Extra songs or canceling opener and playing 3 hours..... Robert Plant is rehearsing for touring with Allison Krause. I got 15 row for that one in june. Ryman is spectacular with history and I am sure each artist feels closure to Hank and some of the musicians that have walked on that stage...... I saw Emmylou with group of locals playing a benefit Guy Clark Vince Gill just amazing....... Cant wait to hear a bootleg.

hate it here was wilco trying to send a message that we shun corporate and tv world but if you dangle the carrot we will eat........ Walken to me is one of their worse live songs. Havent liked it since they played it on the preview tour 2 years ago........ It was a great show Jeff in good form tellin lots of jokes about how uncool chicago fans are getting them sick and wishing they would have made their winter stand in the beautiful city of Charleston..... Now he says they will come back in the middle of Hurricane season just to see if they can play When the WInd blows Mary live....... Now on to SNL........

My hope is after the cancelation and how they say in email they WILL make it up to us is no opening band and a 2 1/2 -3 hour show like they did in Chicago. That would be worth the wait IMO. I am still disappointed as this was the night to get my soul revived but will just listen to bootlegs of chicago and 9:30 club. I aint watching saturday night live... I think All Charleston folks should boycott Saturday Night Live in Protest of making our band cancel on us.... We southerns are proud folk.......

I hear from a close source with SNL Wilco was offered the spot for opening night and declined..Wonder how all the chicago folks would have acted after one night drop out of their residency shows..... which makes more sense then shuting out the south.....

It wont be long before the ticket price is up to 75+ as this is the sign we are headed for the big time. Radiohead is about the only band with no ego etc in caring about $$$. They make enough I believe is what Thom said about giving their album away free..... Talk about good PR... I hear John McCAin wants them to play for him instead of Nashville. Or maybe Obama needs them Saturday night instead of SNL. It is nothing but bullshit to cancel a sold out gig for a live TV appearance. SEll out or what ever First rule of show biz is the show must go on....
