Some tough times, but we'll get through. Happy birthday, miss. "And in my hour of darkness She is standing right in front of me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be." -
Sweetheart of the Rodeo, there's no contest at all.

Peter Cook's "Here Comes the Judge"/Biased Judge sketch...first performance at the first Secret Policeman's Ball Quintessential satire. You have to understand the Thorpe scandal of 1979 to get the full impact.

You say you want a revolution Well, you know We all want to change the world. You tell me that it's evolution, Well, you know We all want to change the world. But when you talk about destruction, Don't you know that you can count me out. In. Don't you know it's going to be all right, all right, all right. You say you got a real solution Well, you know We'd all love to see the plan. You ask me for a contribution, Well, you know We all do what we can. If you want money for people with minds that hate, All I can tell you is brother you have to wait. Don't you know it's -

I really can't help but fall asleep after, like, the third verse. It's a little too slow and the drawl just makes me... -
Still the best damn album ever.

Pardon me, but who the hell is this guy?

Spain's on top of the Euro rankings now...I really don't know how Italy is still second. That's just dumb, they're still salivating over the World Cup victory even though the Italy team now is complete shyte compared to the World Cup team. Premier League can't come soon enough. I'm kinda becoming a Liverpool fan.

Paul McCartney - Here Today

It's really rough, I recorded it in maybe an hour on a whim, basically I recorded the guitar and vocal part, triple-tracked some violins, then added a quick electric thing and the lead-ish guitar at the end, but here: When the Roses Bloom Again I'm in a bit of a tight situation so I'll get to hearing the others later

"NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! Our chief weapon is suprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our three weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our four...no... amongst our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise....oh, I'll come in again." Strange of how it almost fits in this day and age? -
Moving on...finished with this just a bit ago: Now on this: Been in a Beirut-ish mood I suppose...I like the Flying Club Cup better, probably because Gulag Orkestar almost gets too melancholy at times.

Do you remember, remember D. Boon? Part of what he was is a part of me now And if you think back, where would he be Where would I be if time had allowed? This isn't written for any one man It's about me This isn't written for anyone alive Just the songs that he sang I've been told that it's a waste of time Well, so what? Will it be worth mine? And if Managua's bullets don't fly Young men still would die for glory Or for their countries It's just me and Jay Playing our guitars along with it all This isn't written for any one man It's about me This isn't written for anyone alive Ju

Well ... there was the Germans in WW II ... Fix yourself up, bud. The best-standing versions of it were in '49.
