A Shot In The Arm I think is one of the most dynamic songs they play live. Everyone is playing a prominent role in the song and it just ends up sounding HUGE, especially at the "SOMETHIN IN MA VAINS, BLOODIER THAN BLOOD!" part.

If anyone else wants this or didn't get a PM just PM me about it.

The first four songs are fantastic, even Halloweenhead. I really love I Taught Myself To Grow Old..

Spiral Beach - If you're a fan of the Unicorns or the Hidden Cameras definately check out these guys. Saw them at Mariposa last year, they're only 18 I think but tons of fun. Check it out.

I've seen pictures of him at solo shows with a Martin 0-18 and he talks about recording with that guitar on almost all the Wilco albums except the new one. The 12 string is a Martin D-20 12 used on Heavy Metal Drummer, What Light and One By One. He uses a J-45 primarily on She's A Jar and Via Chicago if I can remember correctly. The rest is either the Santa Cruz 000 or his custom made Montuoro guitar, seen on the recording of Please Be Patient With Me on the Shake It Off dvd. He's also used a Gibson Folk Singer for the recording of "Sky Blue Sky" and has been seen live, Pat's also been using o

Ashes Of American Flags - easily my favourite Wilco song but Nels' solo just makes it that much better. Theologians - It sounds MASSIVE live. Misunderstood - Pretty much every version of this song is great the the KT version I think holds precedence.

I just feel that the White Stripes are going to run out of things to do with only two people. There's so much more they could do with the Raconteurs.
-
I'm really not sure what I think about this album... Alot of it sounds like the same old same old White Stripes and I mean you only can do so much with two people. Stick to the Raconteurs Jack.

I'd definately say if you can get your hands on the Recording Sessions book do. As said before tons of detail and it's really cool to see who played what etc etc. The Anthology book is also a very good overview and it's massive with tons of good pictures defintely get that one.

Or Herman's Hermits. What's happier than a Herman's Hermits cover! http://www.sendspace.com/file/funxlz

Let's talk about something we can all agree on! No talking of "selling out", "volkswagon" or "sky blue sky sucks". Let's talk about the awesomeness of the GOTH VERSION of Heavy Metal Drummer! http://www.sendspace.com/file/6422dq

You sound like Nancy Grace!

Jeff's awesome falsetto.

"USE SEARCH FUNCTION BEFORE MAKING THREADS" lololololllolooolol I love Aman!
-
Well guys, I know this thread was meant to be funny and all but it was true! My chemistry teacher was asking me about the band I have on my t-shirts everyday, so I told him to go pick up any one of the Wilco records and check them out for himself. Went to the music store and BAM all sold out. Funny eh, works so well. Really this thread was meant to be a joke, to sort of poke fun at how offended some people are getting over this, not meant for "unclepunk" to talk about the "machine" and "the system". Really guys ask yourselves, how is Wilco, our favourite band, putting a song in a car comerci
-
All the Wilco cd's at my local record store were sold out! Congrats Wilco! I guess this VW thing isn't so bad after all!
-
Haha I figured so! Sorry!

It's really hard to predict what will happen next week but really I figure Tony will die. It will be the end of the Sopranos there will be no more (yes I know Paulie is still there but he doesn't mean much once Sil, Bobby and Tony are gone) and that will be that, the show ending with everyone dying.
-
The Band? lol everyone's heard of them. Great Lake Swimmers, awesome band check out Ongiara. Do Make Say Think, check out You, You're History In Rust. Jason Collett, probably fairly well known, very Wilcoish.
-
Ok well here's Either Way. It's really quiet, so turn that up! It gets louder eventually lol. The taper I guess decided to leave this song as one file so you get War On War live as well, lucky you. War On War is sounding particularily awesome these days, Nels' guitar playing really makes it a whole new song. Enjoy! http://www.sendspace.com/file/v0wu0e

Did Jeff ever say why "The Thanks I Get" was left off "SBS"
Kalle replied to junkbond_trader's topic in Just A Fan
Yeah pretty sure Jeff was late in getting the song to Burke.
