I've read Emma and Pride & Prejiduce and both were good.

Just finished: We had to read it in high school and I loved it then and I loved it even more this time. Now reading: I really hate movie covers, but this book was only $2 at a used book sale and was in awesome condition. I couldn't pass it up.

I picked this up from the library. It's quite good so far, but I never had my doubts with Charlotte Bronte. I love her books.

This is what this thread reminds me of

Or "Gonna Make You Love Me" because it was in a cell phone commercial.

I read Angela's Ashes and 'Tis when they first came out. I recently found Angela's Ashes at a used book sale for $1 so I picked it up and read it again. I love his books. It just amazes me that he lived to be successful and just the fact that he actually lived....

I read this one recently too. I forgot to add it to my other post. Now I'm reading:

That was funny I can't even name a VU song. All I know is they have the album cover with the banana and that's only because Ronen had it as his avatar for so long.

Damn, he looks pretty good in that pic. Usually I don't find him all that attractive, but, wow. That said, no one should take RA seriously. The man doesn't even take himself seriously. Oh, and I I named my 6 year old Ryan because of him. Heartbreaker changed my life. For reals.

How many of you go out on WEEKNIGHTS to see bands?
austrya replied to PopTodd's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
I have 4 kids. I don't go to shows at all anymore. -
I like this line: "So far, Kilpatrick has refused to step down, saying he is on a divinely-inspired mission to help rebuild the city. But conviction of a felony would force him to resign." I hate when people like this think they are inspired (or whatever you want to call it) by God. Could he be more of a hypocrite? The guy is such a creep.

I'd be up for a swap, but I am attached to my books. Plus, I like to read in the bath tub and sometimes books get a little shabby looking after they've either been dropped in the tub or touched too many times with wet hands. Jay thinks they look bad, I just think it adds character. He won't let me read his books in the tub. I do have the following books, if anyone is interested in them. Send me a PM with your address if you want them. The Family Orchard by Nomi Eve The Pieces From Berlin by Michael Pye Confessions of a Crap Artist by Philip K. Dick This one appears to have been read in

Just finished: And: Almost done with: And almost done with: (a life saver if you have kids like mine)

FYI...Toys r us is having a sale on Wii games. Buy one get one $20 off. We picked up Galaxy and Smash Bros. Galaxy is a blast. Jason's mom put a hole in her lampshade getting a little too carried away playing tennis the other day.

The only "new" tv that we have is a 19 inch plasma, which has a great picture for a little tv. The only complaint that I have is the display is too small, like for the chanel or to adjust the picture and you can't see it from the bed. It really sucked before we had digital cable in that room.

How much do they need to investigate? All they have to do is go back and read the court transcripts and look at the text message transcripts. I should only take 20 minutes, tops.

I just went to IKEA yesterday. Only I went to the one in Canton, MI.

The only orange cat I ever had used to sneak outside and kill birds and mice and bring them to me. Other than that, it was the most bestest cat I ever had.

It wouldn't surprise me. Pancreatic cancer is a bitch. I was never a fan of his movies, but the SNL thing with Chris Farley was pretty funny.

So Jason and I just discovered that you can play online against other people for Guitar Hero III Yeah, we never really paid attention to anything other than Quick Play, so it took us a while.

What's the oldest thing in your house?
austrya replied to bjorn_skurj's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
I'm sure I probably have some old coins or stamps in the house, but I couldn't tell you where they are or how old they are. Other than that, it's probably my dresser which is from the 1930's or 40's. It's got beautiful details and carved parts to it. The original hardware is still there and the joints are all dovetailed. Too bad my alcoholic grandfather tried to refinish it and broke part of the veneer off the top. It's funny how I got it too. It used to be on my grandparent's back porch (more like a sun room) and held old magazines and craft supplies. When I was a kid, I always told -
I drove a Dodge minivan before I got the Pilot. It was a piece of crap. The resale value on Chrysler cars is sad, really sad.

Fixed it for you

How did you come by your VC Handle?

When I joined the board, I only had 2 kids. Their names are Austin and Ryan. AUSTin RYAn Clever, eh? -
I drive a 2008 Honda Pilot. It's the most awesome vehicle on the planet. It doesn't get the best gas mileage because it's a 4wd SUV, but it fits my family and has a DVD player. That's probably the most important part of the whole vehicle. It's nice that the kids can watch movies with headphones on and Jason and I don't have to listen to them fight. Jason drives a 2007 Honda Civic and he is very happy with that. The gas mileage is pretty awesome too.
