no idea about the fax... i'll call the Palais when the box office today and see what the story is
-
was a great album in the day, eh?
-
looks like the temp might have dropped below zero a bit!

sunken treasure 2006... all my disks are in 'storage'... should have some versions somewhere but they're buried in boxes...i'm sure someone else can post one > Rarely are songs played too slow. It's usually the other way around. there were some on the AM tour that were done pretty slowly compared to their album version

$82 for melbourne and sydney... not sure about brisbane
-
takiSC, i wouldnt mind hearing that Sunken treasure from 19/10/01 mentioned above... i also think it sounded best on those late 2001 shows EDIT: there doesnt seem to be a show there on that day according to wilcobase!
-
seems like the sydney venue holds 2000 people, melbourne holds 3000. the 3 cities are just over an hours flight from eachother (seperatley) dont know about brisbane though

i read he wasnt up for all the touring and wanted to spend more time with the family
-
i see what you mean, but i actually prefer it. as for IATTBYH, i like it more live than on the album. mountain bed is another that seems slightyly faster on stage and it gives it a smoother flow i've heard a few artists play songs slower on stage (workingman's blues from dylan's latest comes to mind). ed kuepper does it quite a bit too

should have done jay bennett instead, eh?

eppy brzday!

the Palais is all seated. there's the floor and a balcony area. nice acoustics. its quite steep, so best to be closer to the front otherwise you get a nice view of the top of jeff's head so stick to the lower level if you can. fits 3000 people here's the seating chart: http://www.ticketmaster.com.au/seatingchart/155697/16964

howling bells for me
-
neither do i. i'll just go there on the day in the morning and see what happens. i'm sure there'll be good seats available that day as well.

if you bought all the albums, i'd say take a listen to them all, pick yer faves and make your own comp. everyone has different tastes and the albums all have different styles on them. eg: (thats not the issue -> too far apart) (monday -> lonely 1) (my darling -> shot in the arm) (heavy metal drummer -> reservations) (i'm a wheel -> less than you think) welcome along....

i heard today from a VC'er ( sharon) that the Palais will be selling tickets at 8am next friday at the venue. they're $82.50 (bit pricey compared to last time, but who cares) but they'll have the best tickets and give the rest to ticketmaster. might be worth it. and the sydney tickets are $82.90

i always thought the summerteeth tunes sounded best on that tour however, misunderstood, mountain bed or airline to heavenseem to sound best on the most recent shows

where abouts in melbourne are you (if you are!)?
