  3. funny this... i always play Gun with a capo on 2 and sing it lower like jeff used to at solo shows. a few hours ago, i decided to try it open and sing it high and it sounded pretty ok.... the first time i ever tried it without a capo

  8. E-3------------ B---3-0-----0-- G-------0-2---- D-------------- A-------------- E--------------
  9. hehehe, i love the shifty nod he gives that dude on the dvd.. one of my favourite parts
  10. yeah, i've noticed the little things. but playing the 3 chords over and over would be ok for a beginner
  11. via chicago is piss easy - just D A and G over and over
  12. hmmm, not as easy as they sound. the both have simple chords, but to play them like jeff, there's a bit hammering and pulling to do. with airline to heaven, the chords are simple.. the mail riff involves holding down the D chord while hammering on the 2bd and 4th fret of the D string.. When you wake up feeling old sounds much better when you strike the high E string on every accent.. does this make sense??.. if you look up these song titles in this forum, there should be a topic explaining how to play them... good luck
  13. it would suprise me if jeff pulls out out towards the end of the solo tour... as a surprise yeah, great tune... catchy, hawnting, beautiful and freaky in one song

  19. here's a tab for hummingbird.. doodle around with every chord you know and learn about 40 more... you should get it then
  20. no probs.. looking back at it with a guitar in front of me, the part where the E chord comes in, i usually strike the low E string once and strum the E chord twice before the D, C, B bass walkdown.. make sense? then the chords can be found on http://www.gumbopages.com
  21. no guitar in front of me so it might be wrong but i do something like this (off the top of my head), with a Capo on 2 E--------------------------------------------- B--------------------------------------------- G------------0-0h2-0------------------------ D----------------------0h2-0----2--0-------- A-----0-2-3---------------------------3-2---- E---3---------------------------0------------- then strum an F for a bit and back to a C. repeat and away the song goes
  22. floating here.. Cross your fingers behind your back Squeeze mine until they crack I must have known you were just promising Promising, promising Toothy smile, girly style In the back yard, all the while I must have known you were just promising Promising, promising I promise you and you promise me Not to admit defeat I promise, you promise me So comforting, wear your ring Over my head, around my finger I must have known you were just promising Promising, promising I promise you and you promise me Not to admit defeat I promise, you promise me
