It was indeed a new song, and an amazing one at that. Had a lot of soul in the verses, chorus's were a little funky, great debut. I can't wait to hear more of it.

Was there a Wilco Ensemble class at Old Town? I know they have a Dead ensemble, if there's Wilco, I want in!!

I've done some promotion for band's in college. For a press kit here's what you'll need. Each Press Kit should contain this: 1. Manilla Envelope 2. Demo with 30 second song clips of 5-7 songs 3. One page band Bio describing your sound, where you're from, accomplishments, the crowd you draw. Should be in color with band logo as header. Includes names of each member and contact info for booking. 4. One color band photo that you don't mind being placed in newspapers, posters, etc. 5. A joint. (depending on who you're sending it to)

24 years of age. I live in Chicago, IL. I have been listening to Wilco since 2003 and have seen them at The Auditorium Theater, Langerado, and Summerfest. I work for a smaller software company in downtown chciago and started at 1st Tier Tech Support and have been promoted twice and will soon get a third to hopefully the only Level 3 Support and start training in Development. I feel I am underpaid as well. I went to Indiana University and graduated in 2005 with a degree in Informatics. I took many Business and Music courses and could have minored in either given one more semester. I

I guess I was talking more about popular bands. I have no problem adding Kanye to the list, but I don't want to rep Fall Out Boy being from Chicago. I know there's a ton of great smaller bands from Chicago, any locals that I should check out? I only moved here a few months ago.

You all listen to any other Chicago bands? I for one love Umphrey's McGee and have always been a big Pumpkins fan. I can't think of many others that have gotten very popular though. I think a few of the dudes from Yonder Mountain String Band are from Chicago, that's about it though.
