  1. Well, that really sucks, that could've been a very small intimate show. Maybe private?
  2. Nels played there a few months ago, its a smaller place west of the loop i believe...
  3. I'm not sure if this has been posted, but I saw on Ryan Adams website that he is scheduled to play on 6/19 at the Black Orchid. I can't find any ticket information on this, does anyone have the info on this?
  4. I just got a $50 check for my birhtday yesterday so I'll probably go that high, including shipping. I collect and have tons of other screen-prints framed, so and this is one of those "have to get" posters. Seeing that one has came up a week after I started this thread, I'm not going to go crazy-bidding on this, I think more will show up in the future.
  5. Thanks! I'm gonna try my hardest to get this. Sorry if I end up in a bidding war with some of you!
  6. Giggidy giggidy giggidy giggidy giggidy giggidy giggidy giggidy !!!!!!!!!
  7. Has anyone noticed that Hate it Here sounds like it was mixed differently than the other tracks on the album? I don't know, everything just sounds so much brighter on that track, especially the cymbals, keys and vocals. Just an observation, anyone else notice this?
  8. Thanks for the heads up. I'll shoot one over and see if its available.
  9. I walked out of the show with enough money for cab fare home, knowing I'd regret not purchasing this poster. Does anyone know of a place or anyone that might have this and would be willing to sell it? I realy want to treat myself to this for my birthday.
  10. I'd now give the essay a D- for turning it in twice.
  11. I'd give the essay a C- if I was his professor. I don't feel cheated at all, or that I deserve more from Wilco, or that Wilco should be ashamed of themselves. Sky Blue Sky is great music, and if you're a Wilco fan and you don't think it's good music, go buy a Bright Eyes album, get sad for awhile, when your sick of being sad, listen to Sky Blue Sky.
  12. Ringo was never that great, good thing he had Paul to take lessons from
  13. I thought this deserved its own thread, there's just so many interviews and live performances. This will will keep me busy all day. Check it out here: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4495946
  14. Christ for President Let's have Christ our President Let us have him for our king Cast your vote for the Carpenter That they call the Nazarene The only way We could ever beat These crooked politician men Is to cast the moneychangers Out of the temple Put the Carpenter in Oh it's Jesus Christ our President God above our king With a job and pension for young and old We will make hallelujah ring Every year we waste enough To feed the ones who starve We build our civilization up And we shoot it down with wars But with the Carpenter On the seat Way up in the capitol town The USA Be
  15. I agree that Glenn and Myers are two of the best around right now. Kris tends to do a bit too much at times, which is also the nature of Umphrey's McGee's music, so its hard to hold that against him. Glenn definitely plays with "space" in his drumming. For those of you in Chicago, check out Kris Myers at the Webster Wine Bar on Monday's (When Umphrey's is not touring). Oh, and Umphrey's is not shitty, if you want proof please download this show from this thread I created a few weeks ago, then get back to me. http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=28615
  16. Just got mine today and I love it, except that my shirt fits like a ladies large. The DVD is really cool and much longer then I expected. I'm really glad that they did that for us.
  17. God I love watching that performance.

    Tell me

Everything except "leave me" is pretty damn good. I just can't get into that one. I think What Light will be awesome when played at the right time live. Like when I'm wasted at the end of the show and just want to sing my ass off and sway back and forth like a drunk.
  19. What have the other albums debut at? My guess is that AGIB would be the only one that would come close to this.
  20. I went ahead and updated the thread with a show, look at my first post. Enjoy!
  21. That's actually a really good list right there, I might make that compilation when I get home.
