  1. I just emailed my buddy who works for the Obama campaign about it. I'll let you all know if I find anything out about the tickets...
  2. I thought Jay was an incredible songwriter and complimented Jeff positively. From the shows I've listened to with Jay, he didn't seem to really grab me at all with his live performance. No question he's a good guitarist, but God, Nels just shreds him to pieces. Their current lineup is far better than anything I've ever heard from Wilco. I've only seen them get tighter and mesh better over the past 3 years.
  3. I can't agree with Loose Change and other conspiracy documentaries. Any sort of catastrophe of this scale, involving as many people as 9-11, is going to have enough coincidences for a plausible conspiracy theory. I agree, some of the coincidences made me think twice; the blasts in the buildings as they were collapsing, the millions of dollars removed from the basement of the smaller building an hour before it collapsed, why that smaller building collapsed at all, and the insurance policy. There are just too many players involved for this to be kept a secret. In this day in age, anyone can
  4. Not to jack the thread, but I saw that Benevento/Russo show, and my god was it amazing. One of the LOUDEST shows I've seen and then at the Encore, MUZZLE!
  5. I'm a software engineer and could fairly easily put up a Wilco trading site. The problem would be that if it wasn't torrent, which I don't really like too much anyway, the site would have some overhead for hosting space/bandwith. If that was the case it may be a donation or subscription thing, which I also don't think Wilco management would agree with too much. Let's see what happens with Archive.org, and if nothing comes about I would be happy to work with a few others here on getting a trading site up and running... Dave
  6. I'm all for it and will help any way possible. Archive.org is also great for discovering new music. I do have some friends whos bands are on Archive.org, but the first step would obviously be contacting Wilco management about it.
  7. Bright Eyes: Fevers and Mirrors
  8. This thread needs links!!!
  9. My theory is that the only guitar worth buying under $200 is a Danelectro. If you're low on cash and want a guitar, I'd take a look at those.
  10. What the hell are you all talking about? Was there talk of a live release?
  11. To add to other bar's that have Wilco on the Jukebox... -Alive One has "Kicking Television" -4 Moons on Roscoe has "Mermaid Ave", don't remember which volume. -Easy Bar has "AGIB" i think
  12. The Palace at 4am by Jay and Edward Burch is a phenomenal album.
  13. Question, did you get your username from a Fifteen song? If you did, that's pretty damn awesome.
  14. Hey Walsh, welcome. People are assholes here and knock on anyone who posts something that they dont' want to read. But you're a musician and you know how pretentious people are. You really don't have to prove anything to them. Anyway, I have seen you at Notre Dame with Pedro The Lion. Also, i'm pretty sure my buddy Matt Morgan from South Bend was friends with David, maybe still is, I don't know if you know him too. Anyway, its great stuff, thanks for posting it.

    NYE?

My assumption is that if we don't see Thanksgiving shows in Chicago then we should expect a New Years show. Or at least if I was the Wilco's thats how I'd think.
  16. I always thought "Pure Bug Beauty" sounded an awful lot like "Pill Bug Beauty" too.
  17. 1 T Shirt 1 Poster (Auditorium Theater "el track") 2 Books (Wilco Book and music notes) 2 DVD's Lots of ticket stubbs
  18. And came back with a "Nailed It!" right after he messed it up. Hilarious.
  19. I understand what you're saying, but in a way, he is right. New users come here, not to search for information, but to have discussions. Just because a topic has been discussed previously, does not mean the topic can't be discussed again. Pulling up old threads, which are sometimes pages long, filled with nonsense and side conversations, is not always the best way to discuss something. If you see a topic that you don't want to respond to, for whatever reason, then don't...
  20. Yes, tweedy once in an interview broke down statistically on each album, which songs he was under the influence on while writing, what drug he was under the influence from, and how wasted he was.
