I plan on eating my weight in fresh corn and cantaloupes. napping in the back of the car. Maybe a swim in the Chowan, probably some tickling of my nephew, some teasing of my father in law and some weeding of Grandma's garden. Plus a trip to the Russell Stover outlet on Sunday and perhaps a swing by one of the peanut places to load up on the butter toffee peanuts for the office.

I don't think i was aware that there was a rivalry between the white sox and the cubs. I must have missed the "good sportsmanship memo" where it was discussed. Also as a follower of the Red Sox, we don't usually fall into those sorts of traps.

Yeah. That was yucky, but we can't win them all. I'm sure the Cardinals fans are pretty psyched about last night and this game so far, so good on 'em.

That's a shame, and while i will admit that i have a bias, i think that a team having fun is the pinnacle of sports and sportsmanship. The sox aren't perfect; they have clubhouse issues periodically and now and then there's a tantrum, but they know how to have fun and they seem to genuinely enjoy the game and each others company. I am not sure i'd want it any other way. but i'm just a dumb bornintoit red sox fan.

So is it goofy shit like this that makes all other baseball fans hate the red sox?

I became obsessed with Chicago before I hooked up with you wilco people, when i read The Devil in the White City. The descriptions of the building of the world's fair intrigued me to no end. Now i look for lots of books on that era of chicago and have been to the city four times, doing architectural tours each time.
