I too am a whore like that. And will pick up the cd, then the cd with bonus disc available only in Japan or Australia. An honestly I am beginning to think that I am going to pick up the Vinyl too because the cover is just THAT good! But yeah my first listen will either be a leak or the stream on the Website because I just can't wait that long.

Why? Have you found a place to download it? Because you can tell me... I won't judge.

As far as my knowledge and experience goes with litigation (which is honestly quite limited) but I would believe that Jeff is only one of the names being named in the document. For the most part lawyers name every possible responsible party figuring that one will end up paying. I would think that besides Jeff, it would also name the management, the record company, the documentary's production company and director, as well as any company that handles performance royalties. At least thats what I would think. The reporting of this story just seems to go to the sensationalistic nature of the n

Definitely go out and get most of their records. Their latest as the Condofucks is great fun. This is good news as I was a little bummed to hear that Conor Oberst wasn't opening for the Brooklyn show. But this is just as good if not better.

I was there a few years ago though not for a concert. I guess I mean its small in relation to seeing a show at another stadium like Shea or Yankee Stadium. And I figured we'd have to get there early to get a decent seat along one of the baselines towards the outfield.

Yeah unfortunately I got in and there were only tickets left in the stands but its better than nothing. Its a pretty small place and my wife will appreciate a seat.

I got tickets for Lowell, Wappingers Falls and just now Brooklyn. A little indulgent I know but any excuse for a little road trip and to visit family outside of Boston is good and Brooklyn is like 20 minutes from my house! Looking forward to this week in July. Now I just have to tell my wife that I got tickets for all three. She knows about the Lowell and Brooklyn but the following weekend in Wappingers Falls might be too much Wilco for her so it might be a road trip with one of my buddies.

I have ordered from Music Today for a few years now and feel that their service has significantly declined. When I first ordered the orders were fine. Now items routinely come damaged. And the damages are often clearly not from transit. I have received posters that were wrinkled or smudged by the obvious rough handling of the packers. I have even received pins that were all rusty only to have them replaces by equally rusty pins. I pre-ordered Ashes through them and received it early on the 17th through UPS but the package looked like it had gone through hell to get here. The package I r

Got mine too! Disappointed (but not surprised) that the download isn't yet available since I was hoping to download it and listen to it in the kitchen while I cook massive amounts of food today for a family get together tomorrow but I'll just have to crank it up on the TV.

Thanks for your kind words. Where on the Gulf Coast is your dad a Chief?

I live in New York. My order included the Tote and the toy. I got the email from Music Today that said my order was sent out on Wed night around 9 PM. I too am having the delivery by UPS. I checked the tracking yesterday and it said the package was in Jersey. Now I just checked it and it says it went out for delivery at 3:18 AM. So any time now.... I'm glad that I have off today!!!!!

Jeff Tweedy has this WTC Peace Sign Button that is attached to one of his guitar straps. I've noticed this in several pictures and saw it again in Ashes of American Flags the other night and it reminded me of how much I really liked it. I'm a NYC firefighter and would love to wear this on my helmet as a tribute to my brothers who were killed on 9/11 and my protest of the war that has been waged in their names. If any one has any info on where I might get one I would really appreciate it. Thank you all so much.

FYI NYC folks: Ashes Screening at IFC Monday
replacements75 replied to trayanastasio's topic in Just A Fan
I have to say that I was floored by the 9:30 screening. As was said about the earlier screening the sound was amazing and the images were so crisp. I too had to fight the urge to clap after every song because no one else was. It seemed so real and live that I felt the need to applaud. Also the surround sound had me thinking that people were clapping behind me or next to me but no such luck. Also the performances were so amazing that it only felt right to applaud but in the end I too did not want to be "that guy." All in all I have to say that I thought the same thing last night that it w -
Whats the deal with ticket sales for the Beacon, NY show?

Can't wait!!! Anyone know for sure what time Jeff goes on? -
Wow, awesome! Could these be part of the future video that is supposedly coming out this year?
-
Really! Any good suggestions? PM if you have anything you might think is good. If you don't mind.

Well I had brought it up briefly before and she seemed more amused by the idea than anything else which was not a bad sign. She humors my slight obsession and she indulges me in my desire to see live shows for the most part. a lot of times she will come with me and my friends depending on the band. Wilco is not one of her favorites not that she dislikes them its just that of all the music I impose on her its not something she would listen to on her own. So last night we were discussing possible itineraries for the trip and I brought up the idea a little more seriously than I had before

Whew, I got in on the presale! Perhaps my wife to be will spared having to go see Wilco on our honeymoon in Spain. (Though of course I still want to go.) Good luck to everyone if you didn't get in today. I was lucky enough to get tickets to see Jeff by himself once before at the Borough of Manhattan Community College Auditorium and it was nice and small and intimate. I'm only assuming a high school auditorium would be the same. Should be a great show. -

Anyone know what the 150 gets you? -
So far all the advice has been good and basically you all echo most of the voices in my head that suggest its not the worst idea in the world. My Fiance totally understands my love of live music and indulges me in it quite often. I don't think that it will actually be a problem, I just don't want it to seem like thats my motive for being in Spain. I know I am just being paranoid because we had decided on it long before I heard about Wilco being there. I think I just needed some reenforcement that it wasn't the most terrible idea that anyone had heard of. We totally agree with C.Lo beca

Yes I understand asking this on a Wilco site is like asking a bunch of starving people if I should eat or not. Of course I would be completely happy with one show. I mean its my Honeymoon too and we have both never been to Spain. We are incredibly excited about the trip. I just don't want it to seem like its the only reason that I'm excited about it. I mean honestly I would love to have this happen but really I can't wait to explore Spain with my new wife. And I think she already thinks my love of Wilco is cute but I don't want her to think its tiresome. Not long after we started living
-
Ok so here's my dilemma. Even before I heard Wilco was playing Spain this Spring my Fiance and I decided that we would be going there for our Honeymoon and our dates correspond with the dates that Wilco will be there. So of course I immediately wanted to order tickets but then I realized that 1) my wife to be is not quite as huge of a Wilco fan as I am and 2) maybe seeing Wilco while on our Honeymoon isn't quite how she pictured us having our Honeymoon. But to me it just seems like a completely fortuitous coincidence and that we really should not pass up this opportunity. It looks like the

Oh wow! How awesome. I hope that Jeff continues to play this. And then I hope that I score tickets to see the Beacon High show and I get to witness it live.
