  1. Love Tom and gang.... but $25 per day?!?! Sorry...This is getting geared towards the people that the Hideout was originally hiding from.
  2. Might have been an 8 hr flight (I read 11), but according to the Anchorage Daily News it was a total of 22 hrs from the time her membrane started to rip until she got to the hospital in Wasilla. Another strange point, she wouldn't go to a hospital in Anchorage either.... she was driven back to Wasilla, to a hospital in a town of 9000 people -- without a NICU! Women in Wasilla state that when there is an at-risk pregnancy, they are rushed to Anchorage... not vice-versa. A doctor on Daily Kos (I know...biased) wrote that if she started leaking at 4 am, it's indicative of ripped membranes and
  3. The rumors that Bristol was pregnant began after she got in a car accident coming out of a clinic prior to her taking the 4 month leave from high school. The REALLY strange part.... Palin would have known her kid had DS during the first three months of her pregnancy (assuming she got prenatal care... debatable in Alaska). So, she goes to Texas to give the speech. At 4 in the morning, she starts to leak fluid. She has her day, gives her speech... and then flies 11 HOURS BACK TO ALASKA to give birth to her kid. A kid at HIGH RISK. What kind of parent, if this is all true, would do that?
  4. Non-Wilco related note... sounds like the RATM go a bit out of control (in a bad way). Had to stop the show more than once because people were getting hurt.
  5. It was actually 10 PM (an hour ago) Chicago time.
  6. The next one will still be Outta Mind. (unless the Twitter guy on the Suntimes got that song title wrong too). I know they had to end a little earlier than they want. Noticed they don't say "T.L.A." any longer....
  7. Itll be Walken then Outta Mind Outta Site
  8. Saw $4.79 this afternoon in South Loop just east of Little Italy. Sad part is... I heard on NPR that the economists have been studying/planning for this for years. They don't expect a negative impact (break point) to the industry (meaning, people seriously curtail their driving habits, or don't drive at all) until the price hits $6.50 (and it will). People complain about it now... but they are still driving as much as they did when it was $3.00 or less.
  9. Wicked has understudies that replace the stars at least (sometimes twice) per week. Wicked rotates the two leads (and all other actors) out annually. I understand the other members of Wilco have rotated out, but if Tweedy was no longer in the band or took days off I don't think it would have the same effect as some off-broadway actresses in Green face paint.
  10. Contacted him? Can't you just walk over to Rainbo and ask him?
  11. Are you guys still playing with PDP? Or is TPs the primary gig now?
  12. - T-shirt from 2nd Wilco show at Lounge Ax (the homemade looking one with the spinning green wheel on light blue shirt) - T-shirt from 3 night Golden Smog stand at Lounge Ax in 95. The blue one with the yellow cowboy. putting both in t-shirt frames...
  13. Check out the new Chicago magazine for an interesting interview with Merritt. Talks about how he is dealing with his hearing loss in a live setting
  14. Sadly, true. The band is so great, the set last night looks amazng, and I'll still go to at least one of these shows.... but the audience is just awful. And sadly, it really started going REALLY downhill right before YHF. Maybe I'm just an old guy (Jeff's age) who misses the old days, but these shows are getting almost unbearable due the fans. Wilco Fan Lowlights - Top 3: 3) Buffalo Tom show 3 weeks ago.... idiots at front of stage yelling at band to start playing Wilco songs. Head shaking, eye rolling. 2) Abbey Pub solo show ... 2 dorks get in fight in middle of floor over "Who is t
  15. Good to see they are back up! Happy to help out with a charity auction, and happy to be able to list "Wilco Tickets" as a write-off on my tax return!!!
  16. I believe this is what Gary Louris had a few years back that put him in the hospital.
  17. What's going on? Wilcoworld was auctioning off the opera box for each of the shows for charity. They had already auctioned off the Friday and Sat. shows and I had already put in a grand and was expecting on paying whatever for any of the shows next week. I even had friends planning on flying in if we won. Wake up this morning and get a note saying all auctions have been cancelled by eBay. This is total BS.
  18. Let's hope to god this doesn't turn into a flame war between Omaha-ites and Sioux City-ians.

  20. Since it was pretty much known since episode 4 that HBO cancelled JfC and shortened the season from 12 to 10 episodes.... you have to wonder if Milch mailed it in (sure seemed like it) and started to focus on this: "HBO just cancelled David Milch's John from Cincinnati, but that hasn't stopped the two entities from working together. According to Variety, Milch's next series for the pay cable channel is already in the works. David is creating a pilot about New York police. The story will revolve around a Vietnam Vet who returns to the U.S. in the 1970s and joins the NYPD. The series will be
