  1. This album is pretty solid. Glad to see Amelia Bright finally got a studio treatment from someone. The title track is beautiful as well.
  2. Yeah, I'd be a little freaked out right now if I was Samuel L. Jackson, with 2 of his co-stars passing in the same week.
  3. Unfortunately, that's the real studio track. He recorded crowd noises and sounds at shows in the spring and used them on the recording.
  4. Yeah, Hiroshima is fairly terrible. I've heard Cologne and You Don't Know Me as well, and those are much better.
  5. Yeah, it's a shame his lyrics kinda suck now, with new songs like "The Bitch Went Nuts" and "You Don't Know Me."
  6. Yeah I agree, I've seen him 4 times with a band and once solo and his live acts are terrific.
  7. New album is called "Way To Normal." Here is the Paste article with details and a little interview. One of the songs features a duet with Regina Spektor. http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2008...lease-date.html
  8. Dang, what radio station do you listen to?
  9. I can't get enough of Cat Power's version of "Stuck Inside a Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again."
  10. Apparently, his still unnamed new album is coming out Sept. 16.
  11. One reason I'm probably not going to buy the album is that I've heard that it has no artwork inside or even lyrics. Someone correct me if they have heard otherwise.
  12. Thanks. I recorded it in Garageband. Acoustic guitar and vocals were recorded with a USB condenser mic. Piano was recorded on my korg keyboard running into my computer and the strings were, unfortunately, not real and played on my keyboard. But I'm glad they sound good enough.
  13. Golden Age is one of my favorite Beck songs. You guys did a nice job with this. I love the vocals on it.
  14. Here is my cover of The National's "Start a War." First song on the Muxtape list
  15. I was late for work because I was waiting for this to download this morning so I could put it on my iPod. After 3 listens, I like this a lot. The only track that I really don't like much is "Replica." The first 4 tracks are great, and Walls, Soul of a Man and Profanity Prayers are all strong as well. Definitetly a more complete and cohesive record than both Guero and The Information. I do agree with the poster who mentioned the title track. The live version did sound a bit more rockin and upbeat and I wish that would have transferred better to the album. Overall, I'm pleased with t
  16. Apparently they were selling the album at his Dutch concert tonight, so I bet we will see it floating around tomorrow.
  17. I'd say if you wanna print it big, scanning it into your computer at a high DPI will be a better bet than those links up there. Those would get pretty pixelated if you tried to make large prints with those files.
  18. Yeah, I can't believe this one is not out there yet. This is real late in the game for an album to not be out there yet, compared to most releases lately.
  19. Well, I'd say it's not Danger Mouse, seeing how there is plenty of reverb on the new Black Keys album he just produced. I think its just the sound(s) him and Beck were going for.
  20. You could try scanning your YHF cover and then printing it large at Kinkos or someplace like that.
  21. Dang, all three of those new ones are solid. Sounds promising.
  22. I'm with you Lamrod. It's nice to know someone else enjoys it. I thought their last album was extremely boring and dull, but this new one is really solid. Been playing it all summer. Beck's album will probably soon take over though...
